so my leg is almost healed. the tough part now is getting back what I lost. seriously, in about a week, I seem to have lost some flexibility in my leg. so I'll be working on getting it back in shape and on par with my other leg soon. now, I get a dull ache, but nothing like I had. I will know its 100% (or close to) when I can tie my shoes "normally" again (instead of becoming a contortionist to tie them).
in other news, I've managed to screw up my sleeping pattern again...kind of. I'm going to sleep much later than I want to and waking up. so it means I get to function during the day. maybe because I'm not moving around as much while sleeping (due to my injury), I'm getting a better quality of sleep. who knows. I woke up early yesterday...so I did laundry. yes, NeNe, it is folded and put away as well. I even changed my sheets and pillowcase, everything. back to the black on the bed...
so work overnight tonight. I wonder if I work with the sycophant manager tonight. love that word. she's the one who yelled at me for not being 100% sure when rejecting someone. um, funny, since anyone else (including bar tenders) know that you need no reason to refuse an alcohol sale. and she's the same one who, after someone bought beer, found out they had a friend with them and told them they had to return the beer. which does violate liquor laws (since in effect the person is selling the alcohol back) as well as the fact that she is telling someone what to do with something he already paid for! its his! whatever. well, the way she is, last week, the new front-end manager decided to move stuff around and get rid of stuff/put stuff in a closet. he felt it was an "eye sore". while doing this, all she said was "I think is is a great idea! This is a wonderful idea! I really like this!" and so on. yup, I'm pretty sure he had to scrub her lip impressions out of his ass cheek that night.
I then work overnight Sunday and Monday night. I'll know the rest of my schedule this week.
outside of that, not too much else. had to put a cover on the sink where our sprayer was. our old faucet went bad (aka, it was a generic faucet). my step-father found one on sale and bought it, not making sure it had the fixtures for a sprayer. so we had no sprayer. so last night I bought a metal cover from Home Depot to put in place of the sprayer. damn thing was too wide for the opening....so it was fun grinding the hole open with my Dremel. gotta love power tools! the cover fits, put some plumbers putty around it to seal it in, and done.
now its time to eventually replace my horn. fuses seem okay (one of the fuses is a big grey box.....how do I check that fuse? is it even possible?) the not-so-fun part will be if I have to replace the horn (the car is 8 years old), which is located behind the passenger headlight. said headlight where I snapped the tops off the bolts holding it in last year. I have an extractor to remove the bolts....my worry is that I'll have to buy a new headlight assembly and won't be able to just buy the bolts. if that happens, hopefully they aren't too expensive...and I might just replace both!
that's about it...waiting on my tax returns. made a mistake in e-filing them....I put the wrong account number down for the deposit. but I did the "good" type of wrong account number...I forgot a digit, which, after contacting my bank, resulted in an invalid account number. which translates to the money bouncing back to the government and a check being sent out to me. so at least that wasn't too bad!
and that's all...its a nice, balmy 33 F (0.6 C) out right now...heatwave in Rochester!
