so Christmas is over...kind of.
I still have the meeting with my dad. first time I've seen him in, well, months at least. in part, due to our schedules. and part personal decisions. after all, he viewed moving farther away from his children and closer to his mother-in-law moving closer to his family. oh well.
so Christmas loot this year....
Cloak and Dagger figure (Marvel Comics...requested)
new Trans-Siberian Orchestra CD (requested)
"Scissors Rock Paper Lizard Spock" t-shirt (requested)
some more t-shirts
some socks
shirt
slippers
"Nightmare Before Christmas" trivia pursuit game
money
gift cards
so not too bad...from my dad, its a crap shoot. one year he sent me a Hickory Farms gift box. another year, it could be $100. or $75 in gift cards. so I can never tell.
and I have to get stuff from my "secret santa" at work...only 2 of us signed up for this thing. oh well.
so what else? well, family came over. step-father picked up his dad and brought him over...keep in mind my step-father's mother died on December 8th (after 65 years of marriage).
my aunt, sister and the thing she married (and their dog). older sister and her non-husband husband (they've been dating 15+ years now I think). we also picked up my aunt (she has Cerebral Palsey, resulting in physical handicaps and mental retardation).
that was fun.....at times. at least my younger sister's dog is well behaved. and he listens to me. then again, as a puppy, I had no problem playing with him and such, but when he got out of control or tried "chewing" on me, he also got "flattened" (holding him down by the back of his neck to show who is dominant). and if you want to yell at me for being cruel or anything, read up on training a puppy. you need to establish dominance...and the way I established dominance was the same way a mother dog will establish dominance or discipline her puppies...it won't hurt them, but it lets them know who is in charge.
yeah, think that's about it....time to get ready for sleep and heal up some more. with all the cart pushing and such, did some damage to my shoulder, knee, and elbow. gotta love when your body starts to fall apart, huh?
oh well!
and that's it!
laters!
