hellstorm

so woke up today (after watching the series finale of Battlestar: Galactica....it was actually pretty good. nice character development....something I think is sorely missing in TV today) after about 4 to 5 hours of sleep. and kind of bummed.

my dream....e-mailing my former professor/advisor at Roberts Wesleyan college about my lack of success in job searching. how I've tried for 2 1/2 years now, and all I got is a long-term sub position for 5 1/2 weeks. if I get interviews, I get the feedback of "You did nothing wrong, we went with someone who has more job experience than you." and asking her straight out "What do I have to do? since I'm applying in all areas of the state except New York City. I have received e-mails asking if I'm still interested, I reply in the affirmative, and hear nothing. I can't even get a long-term sub position because I lack experience. should I even bother or just scrap the idea of going into this field, the dream I've had for about 4 years now, and figure that the 2 1/2 years and $30,000+ I spent at Roberts was a waste of my time, money, and energy?"

yeah, this job searching shit is getting on my nerves. especially when people tell you "Its not always what you know, but who you know in educaiton." and I know no one.

so hey, if anyone out there finds a position in their area for a School Counselor, let me know. especially if you've got a place to crash until I can get on my feet. I promise to help out with bills and such, even cook and clean. but enough is enough of this futile exercise called job searching for education in New York State.

thanks...I figure if I leave this state, I'm gone. for good. and that also is the same if I leave the country. I'll return to visit family only.
