so last night, my cousin calls, he needs help putting together his new dining room table and bench. to replace the one his soon-to-be-ex-wife took. yes, my cousin has the mechanical building skill of a slightly mentally handicapped rodent.
get there...his kids are there. the soon-to-be-ex had her lawyer call his lawyer who called him and told him she was dropping the kids off for the weekend. she said she wanted to pick them up at 5 PM on Sunday, he replied "How about I get them off to school on Monday instead." she said "No, I don't want to interfere with thier routine."
um, what routine? the one you set up the previous week after taking them out of their home? yeah, whatever.
the oldest one, he cried a few times when he was with my cousin. he's confused. she tells him all sorts of stuff. he's 7. and confused.
the middle child, he's 4. his bus driver is willing to testify for my cousin. my cousin was told that the 4 year old was getting on the bus to go to school and told by the soon-to-be-ex "This is your last time getting on this bus, after today, you won't see your dad anymore." he was balling by the time he got to school.
the youngest (1 1/2) was quite happy to see my cousin. his mom left...he didn't care. he was extremely happy to see his dad again.
so that's something good. my cousin is still recovering what he can. basically she's going to have to pay for everything she took. now he's looking for bedroom furniture for his sons to replace what she took. after that, washer and dryer. then a bed and such for himself. he figures those will be the last few items he buys. as he put it last night "I'll sleep on an air mattress, I don't care."
so today, sleep, then fire off four or five on-line applications...looking at three schools outside of Albany, Ithaca (posted for 2 school counselor positions) and 1 long-term sub position in Buffalo. and might addd a few more! and try to find those pictures of the girl I work with who said she was on playboy.com. I seriously can not find her at all! wondering what name she is using. have someone on that as well!
