hmm...so what's going on in my life?
well, right now, its 6:30 AM, and I'm awake. but by choice.
you see...today, I work at 11:30 PM. and get out at 8:00 AM. so I figure if I can stay awake long enough, I can sleep long enough that I won't really have to nap before work. or at least minimize the need for a nap.
next week shall be interesting as well! at Wegmans, the following had happened:
Our Pricing Coordinator leaves in April to move to Virginia take a job at one of the new stores down there. it works for her, since her one daughter and her grand daughter live down there.
so everyone started applying for her job. our full-time Overnight Cashier, who has wanted to get off of the Overnights (she has a young child as well) got the job as the Pricicing Coordinator. which means they have 5 days to fill.
so I'm getting 2 of those 5 days, and another person trained (and wanting the job) gets the other three. not too bad...except, well, she's not reliable. that coudl be a problem! if you can't rely on the girl to come in on a part-time basis, what is going to happen 5 nights a week?
so that has been consuming much of my days lately. the nice part is it puts me on a sleep schedule that is actually somewhat regular. bizarre, but regular. I've been going to sleep the past few days sometime between 3 AM and now. and sleeping as late as 5 PM. if I work the overnight shifts, it means I sleep even later (7 PM). which does suck because it seems there is very little to do here after 9 PM. and that includes finding food (tough to cook at such a late hour).
let's see...sent out a job application to Utica City School District. at the job fair that just passed at Roberts, I was niformed that the school district is growing. so I chatted some with the person there (who happened ot be the Director of Personnel) and, in leaving, she said she hopes to see my application. so I filled it out and sent it out. in my cover letter, I included ".....per our conversation at the Roberts Wesleyan job fair." I hope it helps!
so what do I have planned for next week? ocntinue my job search. pray and hope I get some schools interested in me for Rochester Teacher Recruitment Day. it would be a bummer to have all the school districts show up and me not be able to attend because no one wants to interview me!
and maybe some projects....who knows. plus get an oil change and a car wash. I have that paid for at least!
and continue on the job searching!

I've been watching the paper here. Nothing in your field. We do have a local corporation expanding. They say 175 new jobs in distribution/warehouse. We will see.
