so I think Wegmans is trying to kill me in subtle ways....here's why:
Sunday: I started work at 11:30 PM Saturday night. I am supposed to punch for my 1/2 lunch at 7:30 AM when the opening manager gets there. oh, but its the manager who gets there, punches in, then "I need to get coffee and something to eat," and gets back 15 minutes later. so I end up punching for lunch at 7:45 AM.
I leave, driving the 1/2 hour (give or take, hey, cops patrol the expressway between work and home now!) to get home.
I eat a little, some sleep and then wake up....because I have to be back into work at 5:00 PM!
push carts for a 5 1/2 hours.
I'm off until Wednesday, when I'm pushing carts again.....5:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
get home...I have to be back into work on Thursday morning at 8:00 AM. joys!
now, here's what I have coming up:
Sunday: after working overnight, be back in at 5:45 PM to 10:30 PM pushing carts.
Monday: back in at 7:30 AM to push carts until noon!
so, seriously, in 36 hours, I will have works about 18 hours....that kind of sucks for me!
I work again Thursday morning and Friday overnights....plus might be some babysitting for my cousin (so he can talk to his counselor about his impending divorce).
meaning I will be around for chat Monday night (unless I pass out....and after Big Bang Theory), possibly Tuesday night, and Thursday night.
yeah, this bites.....oh, I work again the following Sunday at 5:45 PM again pushing carts!
well, at least its a job, and I can pay all my bills but my student loans.....fingers still crossed for the forebearance! I fax the paperwork in tonight!
so, on happier notes...
1. found a job opening for a School Counselor in Verona, NY. its between Utica and Syracuse. by the Turning Stone Casino....where there's gambling and bands that I like play shows! nice!
2. I got in contact with the Principal of where I did my long-term sub position...he sent out a letter of recommendation for me, but it did not arrive at Roberts...so he's sending out another one! the cool part....he's friends wtih the Crookers....I have never talked about them, but, well, their son was the closest thing I had to a best friend in High School.
3. um, well, i got a pay raise. interestingly, since Wegmans "caps" part-time employees at $9.15 an hour...I now get paid $9.40 an hour. I won't complain!
