so today, found out that a guy I work with, his cousin is high up in the education field where I want to work.
this could be a good thing.
what is interesting...he said his cousin retired and then was talked out of retiring....the county could not find someone to take over his position!
and edit....I was worried a little bit, having been scheduled only 22 1/2 hours this week. 2 phone calls later and I have picked up 9 more hours. they want part-time employees at no more than 32 hours...given the time I gain from the overnight shifts (the opening person might not be ready until about 1/2 hour after they are supposed to be) and such....I might appraoch that!

I think you may be right.
That would explain my behavior and the lack of coping ability with loss.
The history would boggle your mind, even with all of you training.
