so Brockport called me today. no, I did not get the job. I do appreciate them calling back....hmm, maybe I should send out a "Thank you" note to the Principal.
so i did ask for feedback...I dress very well and present myself very well. the concern was my theoretical perspective. I tend to be more Existential, a la Viktor Frankl. the counselors felt that my framework might be a little "too much" or "advanced" for middle school children.
which is funny, since I also stated that I tailor to the student in front of me.
perhaps next time I should tell them that I follow a Social Learning model, where I really think of what works best with the student in front of me. who knows.
oh well, other jobs are out there, my resume is out there. that's for sure!
now, time to fold laundry and figure out what to eat for the day! and damn Christmas shopping...one person down. well, techincally 3. so 9 more to go (Mom, step-father, sister, sister's non-husband husband, thing younger sister married, cousin's 3 kids and the "Secret Santa" from work).
