well, a quick update for everyone about my life right now:
let's see....the long-term sub position is going good for me. however, stuff is happening. I've had to talk to 2 girls about possibly self-injuring. one student had a meltdown. there is a possibility of a 504 student being mis-classified (should he be ED? possibly! especially with Oppositional Defiant Disorder). yeah, stuff has been interesting.
my family is kind of driving me nuts. my cousin's wife has, in the span of about 2 to 3 weeks, gone from happy, loving wife to wanting a divorce. well, she's going out 3 to 4 nights a week with some new friends from where she works. the one friend has a view...all behavior is all genetic. that explains why her oldest son is an *sshole to her.....because his father is one too. so, basically, when I don't care about what she thinks of me, I'll telling this friend something along the lines of "So basically either you are making excuses for being a totally ineffectual parent with your oldest son or you are admitting that you are totally genetically inferior to your ex husband since all his genes are exhibited in your son and evidently none of your genes are evident." that should create an interesting conversation!
I'm getting paid the Long-Term Sub rate at my job. the differences:
Sub Rate: $85 a day for the first 20 days, $125 a day after that.
Long-Term Sub Rate: 1/200th of the annual pay rate a day, or $135 a day.
I'm not complaining.
so that's all....still haven't heard back from the other job I applied for. that was a permanent position. I sent in my resume and cover letter on Sunday....all nice and neat in a 9"x12" envelope (not folded up or anything). on Friday I got a letter saying that I need to fill out an application and send in my transcripts/credential file. so i sent that out. now its waiting.
so that's about it now.....I had October 13th off. and I won't potentially have another day off until around November 26th or so. yeah, my life sucks!
but, everyone....I'm reading all your blogs! I write what I can. I just wish I had more time to write something more meaningful!
