so day one went off without a hitch. a whirlwind of activity in some ways (getting computer access, getting onto School Master, getting paperwork done), but a fun whirlwind. met way too many people, most of who I will not remember. even helped a student some (he's looking into Forestry and Conservation).
also found out that I'm working with 3 8:1:1 students. all three are ED classified. fun times! so tomorrow I'm spending time in their one class, so they can get to know me.
so what else? seems fairly laid back. three Youth Counselors are employed. basically, seems as if the school has the School Counselors focus more on guidance and career stuff and the youth counselors work with the emotional/mental health needs. but not exclusively. odd, but good.
so yeah, that's about it...car is still getting over 30 mpg. which is nice. lots of long, winding hills I drive through. and this 4 AM stuff sucks!
World War Z almost done, the next audiobook I'll be listening to is "Look Me in the Eye", about a person with autism. after that, who knows!
