well, lately, just feeling kind of "blah". who knows, maybe its not seeing jobs. or not being fully happy where I'm at (then again, when have I been fully happy?). the tediousness of my job. who knows.
so what has been happening?
finally got the needed information on how to get my provisional certification as a school counselor. New York State requires public school employees in the fields of teaching and administration to be certified. after two e-mails of no responses, I sent one saying "Hey, I'm free Friday, I'm coming to stop by." then I get a response...odd, huh? $50 later and I'm certified!
a few job openings in the area. could be interesting. small town school districts. you know what, though, that could be a good thing. instead of being a specialist, I can be a generalist. and I really enjoy variety. again, part of the reason why my job might be sucking.
except the past few days. we're finishing the "simplification" of our store. basically, everything has a place, and you put it back there. labels everywhere. part of the process is sorting and cleaning. the storage area next door, though (think small warehouse) has become a situation where departments simply dump their stuff there. so the past few days has been demolition days. taking stuff apart (most used tools are a hammer and a mallet) and throwing it out. we've played games like "Javelin the metal pipes and see if you can hit the back of the dumpster" and "How many times will this metal shelf bounce?" as fun. and each day, marvel at how much of the scrap metal has been stolen by people.
my shoulder is also acting up....big time. after about 6 hours of sleep or so, I wake up to my one arm tingling and in pain. especially in my hand. after moving and such, I eventually get comfortable again. wake up, some weakness in my arm as the tingling is still there. yet, during the day, it does not bother me as much...go figure!
and yeah, that's about it. hoping to get a job soon. so that I can be in the "employed" category again. not that Wegmans is all that bad. but at less than $9.00 an hour and less than 40 hours a week, well, I'm playing "staying afloat" instead of "living a life"...and it sucks!
so that's about it...how about you?

I really hope you find a job soon! It must be even more stressfull in these tough times.
That was a very creative way of getting a response to your email. I had to laugh when I read that. I may just use that trick myself in the future.
I hope you are able to find an opening sometime over the summer for the begging of school in the fall. That would really be great. Got my fingers crossed for you. BTW, nice job on the swing set!
