so I started building this damn swing set around 9:30 AM, took a break for lunch and dinner, and at 8:45 or so (when it was so dark out I could no longer see!), I said "enough" and that I would finish the damn thing tomorrow!

had to have my cousin's father-in-law go out and get a 3/8" drill bit (unfortunately, my drill bit set does NOT come with a 3/8" bit to go through wood, only one to go through masonry). had to label parts, sometimes the only damn difference is where 2 holes are drilled! damn damn damn!

so what does this damn thing look like?

click here to take a look...yes, my cousin's wife bought the thing at Walmart.

it comes with:

swing set (3 swings basically)
slide
"rock" climbing wall
picnic area
little "clubhouse" area where the rock climbing wall ends and the slide begins.....which is above the picnic table!

all I have left is getting the swing set level and secured (one bolt area) and a few cosmetic things (IE, do they want the logo on the swing set?).

and anyone know how to tighten down on carriage bolts?

and damn I'm sunburned....thankfully, I heal pretty quickly, so I should be fine in a day or two!
eeek

and the word of the day was "Mother Fucker!" or some derivative of that phrase!

EDIT:

so everything is done, the kids are playing on the set....here's a pic:

got the carriage bolts tight through the use of vise grips.

and now my cousin's wife wants it moved.... eeek I need to inform her that moving involves:

unscrewing and removing 6 stakes.
moving the entire thing.
re-leveling the swing set part...putting in new holes and re-attaching a bottom brace.
driving back in the 6 stakes, drilling new holes and re-screwing them in.

yeah, I think it stays!
