well, slept fairly well. I still have the problem of waking up with my arms tingling. probably a pinched nerve or something. my shoulders still crack and everything. I hope that I get a full time job and nice health insurance so I can get to a doctor and really have everything checked out. might need surgery, might not. never know, but what can it hurt, right? well, besides me.

so my car, so far, here's what the dealer knows:

1. there is a problem.
2. everything they can check is fine except for the left wheel axle. however, the steering rack can not be checked, only assumed.
3. there are no steering racks available from Dodge.

this makes the service agent wonder if something is up or what. so he's contacting the warranty company about what they will cover (since both steering rack AND wheel axle are covered, I should be good). otherwise, he figures about $1000 of work. but have to figure out about the steering rack and what to do about that. will the company pay for an after market part? or do I wait?

and my brakes are getting thin. I knew that. 30,000 miles. small brake area (being a Dodge Neon). so something else to save for. however, for replacing them, I am thinking Dunn Tire again. since when I replaced my brakes before, Dunn Tire quoted me less money for new pads and rotors than any place else did for new pads and turning my rotors.

UPDATE:

so the warranty will cover certain costs. including getting an after market steering rack. the cost differences I have to pay.

so here's what I'm looking at:

$20 cost difference for the axle (NAPA part vs. Dodge part)
$30 cost difference for the alignment.

so I'm paying $50 for a new steering rack, wheel axle, and alignment.

it doesn't hurt that much, does it?
