yeah, so 2008 is here. let's see, what did 2007 bring me?

got to meet some new members on this site. including some in person. had 2 Suicidegirls go on my friend's list. that's nice.

almost gave up on my Masters in School Counseling. I was in rough shape in the beginning of the year. my supervisor, well, I have a feeling he fancied himself as a counselor that worked in the schools, and not a school counselor. yes, there is a difference. and he fancied himself as the counselor for those around him. I fell into the trap. he f*cked up my head some I think. read my earlier stuff if you want to read about it (I think I wrote about it). but I jumped through all the hoops and now I have my degree and they can bite me! and, well, one person saw what I can do, he was impressed.

I was unofficially diagnosed with PTSD, Late Onset. from, how did the psychiatrist put it, "A tremendous amount of loss in your life." since 1988, when it comes to close family members/people who mattered (neighbors, etc.), let's see, the count for deaths are:

13 or so...maybe 14, yeah, 14. out of those 14, I think 3 were actually in the hospital dying. I was in the house of the one person that died. 1 was suicide, many were unexpected (such as dying in one's sleep, dying on the golf course, etc.)....one even included (if she was telling the truth) a miscarriage (psycho ex-girlfriend, so one can not tell if she was being truthful or not).

got dogged for being who I am, an introvert. thankfully had someone tell me "its not that bad being an introvert." and another person telling me "You know, being an introvert is good for a counselor...you can reach those kids others can't."

paid off my car. paid off some bills. got some new bills.

met a few people that might, just might, be considered some new friends of mine.

and went on and then off of Lexapro, an antidepressnat. when you're not sleeping, things can bother you. this stuff, well, I ended up sleeping about 12 to 14 hours a day. so that was nice.

now, what am I looking forward to in 2008?

1. starting my career. not a job, but a career, as a school counselor.
2. saving up money (if I can). I want to buy a new car next year (when the warranty is out on this car). either a small truck or something larger than a Neon (which I currently have).
3. get a place of my own. even if that means an apartment with roommates.
4. I would say "find someone special", but I've given up on that. I had a potential in 2004 (someone saying she wanted a relationship). she kept coming up with excuses not to have a relationship. and now won't talk to me...out of the blue, pretty much. yup, I attract psychos! don't know why, but I do!
5. keep up with paying bills. and get in better shape.

so yeah, that's pretty much it. 2007 in a nutshell for me (please add more if you wish) and then what I want to do for 2008.

Hellstorm, I'm a suicide survivor as well. It's incredibly difficult, isn't it? My first husband killed himself when I was 19, and it took me about 15 years to get over feeling guilty for somehow not knowing that he was going to do it... deaths are so hard! I just lost my Mom this May, still getting over that as well.

Anyway, guess I'm trying to say that I just might understand. Try me. kiss
