wow, long time, no write. let's see, what have I been up to?
well, last week (I think Tuesday, all the days are a blur to me now), I went to Art Park in Lancaster, NY. to see Lennon play twice in one month. let me tell you, seeing her play with the Niagara Gorge as the back drop is amazing! no pictures of her playing, though...well, because of a few reasons:
1. the venue was big and I was sitting towards the back
2. I went to walk in, and a security guard saw me holding my sunglasses case (hard case....hey, spend over $100 for a pair of sunglasses, you want to protect them!) and asked if I had a camera....which I did not at the time. I told him it was my sunglasses case, and he muttered "Good, as long as its not a camera...no cameras." later on, getting a blanket (no chairs, and I did not want to sit on the grass), he checked out my blanket (it dropped to the ground.....accidentally, but good proof that there was no camera in it!) dumb ass probably should have checked out cell phones, but he probably has no clue!
however, later on, in a pocket, the camera came in....so here is a picture of Lennon and I at Art Park:
yeah, I admit it, I look like a dork in the picture...what can I say? I was happy (and tired).
outside of that, pretty much registered for classes (Tuesdays and Wednesdays) and got everything set-up for my internship. I was told that the guy is a really nice guy and I would enjoy working with him. plus I'll be "wearing many hats", which is a good thing. and he said the magic words...."We're trying to get you an office of your own!" YES!
outside of that, work and sleep. went through seasons 2 through 4 of Babylon-5. Patricia Tallman is a babe. and watched 300 a few times. now I have to figure out what else to watch. perhaps something with Kate Walsh....another hottie. and no, its not simply the redhead thing!
and now I'm sitting here with a heating pad on my shoulder....it hurts. can't turn my head a whole lot. more of pain in the muscle/tendon area. although it keeps "popping". and since this is my "good" shoulder, I'm not too happy. but hopefully it will get better.
so what is left for this week? work a few days. reception for those of us who donate to the United Way. have to get my financial aid stuff straightened out. more work. and a Freshmen Orientation where my internship is at. and more work.
plus, working on plans to do some landscaping in the back yard. we have a deck that underneath it its just dirt and whatever grows there. I want to dig out out, put a border around it, and fill it in with stone. about 2 inches deep. let's see anything grow through that! and the side of the house (where my step-father keeps his 15 garbage cans...I counted! mind you, we generate 1, maybe 2 cans of garbage a week here between the three of us!), putting down some stone or something. his idea is to dig out the grass, but no border or anything.
then again, while he's happy to invest $3000+ on a car he sells in 8 months for $600, he won't invest $2500 to $2700 in a new driveway, instead opting to patch it, because "He can't afford a home improvement loan or to get the work done"....yet afforded $6000 to buy a used car...go figure!
