well, I finally got a copy of "300" to borrow/rent/whatever you want to call it. I had a promotional code, so I'm getting one day free.....sweet! I just wonder....what would the world have been like if the events of 300 never happened? or if the country of Greece did not unify together to fight the Persians? then again, I remember this quote from Babylon-5 (the episode is "The Long, Twilight Struggle"): "No dictator, no invader, can hold an imprisoned population by the force of arms forever. I saw Lennon play Wednesday night. it was a great show (as always). seriously, I think one of the great things about seeing Lennon play is how she interacts with the audience. from the guy hiding in the corner shouting out things (which was replied with a spotlight on him) to the three guys up front (one guy said he owned an on-line sex toy shop....and the guy next to him was hung like a donkey, to which Lennon replied something like "And you know this how?'). if anyone reading this happens to be in a band and gets a chance to see Lennon live, I would recommend it. you can see what I mean by her interacting with the audience (and the effect it has).
plus, got to talk with her some after the show as well! now I need to get August 12th off. she's playing in Lancaster at the Art Park. where ever that is. but, as always, it should be a good show.
plus, I'm impressed that she remembers me....considering she has seen me 4 times now in the past 4 years. sometimes I have a goatee, sometimes I don't. maybe I should change my look up or something!
so hoping to post the pictures I took soon. I borrowed my sister's digital camera (Cannon E05 or something like that). I just wish she didn't tell me it cost about $1000 when she let me borrow it....
well, now I have to get in contact with my adviser about classes and my internship placement. it was interesting, at the concert, I bumped into a resident of mine from 2001-02 and a girl that hung out in my building all the time then (usually high). we chatted. told them what I was studying. her reply was along the lines of "I'm not surprised...I think you'll be happy doing School Counseling and you'll be good at it." odd to be remembered 5 years later, no?
and I think that's about it. I have at least 40 hours of working overnights next week (the full-time person is taking the week off). wouldn't be so bad, except the other overnight person is pulling the entire "I only want to work these days, and do this stuff...." and all that crap. considering that she doesn't really do the job, yeesh!
oh well, such is life!

plus, its too hot out for me! we're in the 90's during the day. and, well, the way I am, heat like this will drain me of my strength real quick. pretty much, I don't deal with heat very well....its a good thing that I live in the Northern Hemisphere, in the Northeast of the United States, where we really don't have hot days for more than one month out of the year!

The puppy is the shy one of the litter. Since he's an Aussie, I want a kind of Australian sounding name. I like Didgeridoo, but I read that dog names should be two syllables. I could give him a nickname though...
