well, thanks everyone for the feedback. after much thought and ideas, I've pretty much determined here is what I'm doing:
Friday: Interview, wearing a shirt and a tie. throw out my ideas on stuff. let them think about it. maybe send a thank-you note, depending. if they offer some nice benefits, like Student Loan forgiveness (say I work there a year and $10,000 is forgiven from my student loan), then I'll take it. otherwise, nope.
if offered the job: be gracious in thanking them, but inform them that I have been offered another job and am currently in the process of writing a letter to all jobs I applied for withdrawing my name from the candidate pool. also inform them that they can use any ideas I thought up if they feel so.
if not offered the job: be thankful for the interview opportunity and practice, and being able to get some ideas out there. let them know they can freely use any ideas they thought possible.
what are some of my ideas?
advertising in a four-pronged attack:
Local and area businesses to develop job opportunities.
Local small businesses for "mentoring" ideas (if someone wants to start a business, having someone to help them learn what it really takes)
Local school counseling offices (to inform those students thinking of dropping out)
Local school counseling and school psychology programs (to get the word out)
sound like an idea? outside of that, nothing really.
and here's hoping one of the other jobs calls....like the $30,000 to $35,000 a year job with a furnished apartment. see, that I can take. plus, well, they are starting to review applications as of this past Friday. eliminates quite a few candidates. should bode well for me!
plus two more jobs to apply for. add to that the fact that I just got a laser printer (under $100! HP, too!), I should be putting out some snazy resumes and cover letters! whoo-hoo!
so that's my plan. work today (1 PM to 9 PM), interview tomorrow at 1 PM for an hour, work overnight (11:30 PM to 8 AM), come home, do whatever, sleep, and then work again overnight.
plus next week, organize/clean out my bins of "stuff" that I bought back. clear things out, stuff like that. wish me luck!
here's hoping for a good job soon, so I don't have another semester to work at!
and your weekend plans?

Good luck with the jobs. The once with the furnished apartment sounds pretty good. Then you don't have to worry about rent, which is the usually the biggest bill.
