well, instead of writing my homework so I can go to bed at a decent hour (since I have to be awake around 5:30 AM tomorrow), I'm typing here and listening to Guano Apes (made a DVD of various videos and such of theirs from downloaded stuff). fun, huh?
today, talked over the parent conference with my counselor. how I reacted, stuff like that. I tend to not have emotional responses in crisis situations. I lock into a "crisis mode" of "do what needs to be done to keep the damage to a minimal" mindset. 5 years in Residence Life (and dealing with loads of crap) will do that to you. unfortunately, it cuts me off from very valuable informaiton of, well, my emotional responses (good barometer of what's going on as well).
we'll see where things go from there.
outside of that, not too much else. the bottom of my one foot hurts. not sure why. got some papers back. from what I could decypher of my one professor's scrawl, I think he said I have many post-modernistic thoughts. gee, and here I thought I was more Nihilistic Existential. oh well.
well, that's about all. time to write the 2 one-page responses to articles on sex abuse for children (school stuff, after all) and then print them and then sleep. more to follow later.....Thursday after 6:30 PM or so starts my first break of the semester (I get 2 this semester, of one week each)....and part 2 of the three-parter for Grey's Anatomy as well!
