its amazing what sleep will do for a person. see, my weekend has been quite busy. Friday, I had to wait around to get my car....they had to do a transmission overhaul, replacing the seals and that fun stuff. about $2000 of work that I paid $100 for. trust me people, when you get a new car, get the warranties! they're worth it!
funny how my sister was going "Well, you can't drive the car like you do, going 0 to 60 in under 4 seconds". this from the girl referred to as Mario Andretti, weaving in and out of traffic. then again, she's the same one who has told people "Don't let Dave touch your computer, he'll just screw it up" but has no running computer (and came to me when her laptop got messed up). she pisses me off.
Friday night was work, Saturday I got home, slept, got woken up around 1:30 PM by my dad calling (about my car). mind you, I got to sleep around 10 AM. not happy. had to get up and go to my sisters' "non husband husband'"s surprise 50th birthday party (they've been dating for about 10 years now). we're still arguing about that one, because, well, she kept asking my mom to do things and buy things for it. I said something, she replies "You're not bringing or doing anything for it, so I wouldn't speak," to which I reply "You're right, I was INVITED to the party, I'm not throwing it, so I'm coming and bringing a gift....and that's all that is expected of me!" bitch.
get home, work. yup, about 4 hours of sleep in a 24 hour time period. makes me happy! worked, talked to a co-worker about choice and all the stuff I'm doing at school (he has his Masters in Divinity from the same school), had some lady complaining, saying how a book could not be $10 originally. so we looked on the inside cover....price tag of $11.95. amazing what happens when people look, huh?
waited for my second wind to hit, drove home for about 20 minutes, and slept. got up, did some reading, organzed my room some. stuff like that. went back to sleep.
and slept for about 11 hours I think....felt good!
so now, have counseling (get to talk about my fears). and write some statements. finish laundry. and get ready for the grind again!
and nervous....can I really make it in the field of school counseling, or am I fooling myself?
