well, I feel kind of bad, I haven't commented on anyone's journal recently. sorry everyone, yes, I read your journals. normally just too damn tired or drained to say much of anything. seriously, this breakneck schedule of mine is wearing me down!
so this weekend is my "vacation". you see, my mom and step-father are out of town. so I have the house to myself. tonight, I get to shop. since there is no food in the house. they left me about $60 for the grocery shopping for the week. you see, its actually $175, but my mom has to keep $100 to pay her bills and $25 for the week. so I get to shop for about 2 weeks for 3 people on $60. yeah, that sucks! but I should be able to do it. plus, we really don't eat lunch here, and rarely eat breakfast, so its basically dinner for 2 weeks. and that's not everyday, either.
internship is going. my supervisor has told me the 2 things I need to work on, that are holding me back:
1. family of origin issues. the middle child syndrome, stuff like that.
2. confidence. which I think is tied into family of origin.
so, while its not much in terms of the job, its tough, because its also "me" that needs to be worked on. I got a strong feeling that my supervisor was purposely paired up with me, since he would notice that and not be afraid to work on it with me.
however, he also pointed out that I'm timely, cheerful, do anything asked of me without complaint, quickly, and efficiently, and I'm good at taking/incorporating feedback. so that's good.
plus, he knows I'm in counseling now. he's even offered to consult with my counselor, to work on stuff. the tough part of my counselor is the fact that its through the school I attend, so he's used to practicing pastoral counseling. yeah, very religious based. I have faith, but not religion. so this should be good!
well, that's about it....as I mentioned earlier, I shaved off the goatee. here's a picture of me with the goatee (old picture, yes, I'm dressed up for a job interview or something):
and here's what I look like now (okay, I woke up and still have to take a shower, but you get the idea):
so, how is everyone else out there? yesterday we got snow. and I hope to have time off ina few weeks. which means I'll be catching up with EVERYONE there! so please be patient...thanks!
