well, today was day three of my internship. the beginning of the year meetings, stuff like that. very interesting to see the politics going on during the meetings and how things are addressed. one big area of weakness for me will be politics, I really hate the political game, so this is a good learning experience for me.
saw a few students as well, very interesting to see the approaches.
and found out some of the things I might be doing. since I have to be a consultant for one of my classes (consultation and collaboration), my supervisor felt it would be best for me to become a standing member of the Instructional Support Team (IST). so that's one more thing on my plate. seems that the counselors only attend if its one of their students. I just hope I don't ruffle too many feathers at the IST meetings (I tend to want to get things done as efficiently as possible, and also use the scientific method). definitely a good learning experience for me, though. and I'm sure I'll bring some unique and fresh ideas!
after all that was done, I got called into work. they begged me. so, while working, I went to check the time on my cell phone....and the f*cker was gone....
searched the store and the parking lot, nothing. asked up front if anyone turned one in.....nope! damn it! there's $150 gone, plus having to report it missing and such!
well, I decided to check with the service desk. yup! it was there. thank God! so I got my cell phone back, and that's $150 I now won't have to spend! yay for me!
let's see, tattoo tomorrow, reading for class, laundry, internship on Thursday, class (that I still have to read for) on Thursday. Lennon on Friday. work overnight on Saturday. and then figure out a lesson plan due by Monday (on Ethics and Values). plus have to photocopy and fill out all my paperwork for my internship. damn, things are getting busy!
so what does that mean? well, it will limit the amount of time I can spend replying to people here! sorry if I don't write anything....I am reading things! I'm trying, really, I am! just until May, then things should slow down, calm down, and I'll have time! that or I'll be searching for jobs. although my internship supervisor is retiring at the end of this year.....if I do a good job, I could have an "in" there! sweet.....
and that's all. I've been awake since 6:15 AM this morning, so I'm getting sleepy now! time to brush my teeth, take my calcium pill, and do some reading before bed!
tomorrow, tattoo at 5 PM. look for before and after pictures here (maybe in my pictures folder) and in the tattoo group!

In about 2 weeks, I get it colored (the fish are going to be traditional Koi colors of oranges and yellows) and the wavey Pisces symbol is going to be blue.
and damn did it hurt!

I am very impressed. Getting tattooed (esp. something like that one) is always such a spiritual experience! How was it?
