well, so today in the Emmys, the two shows I really like (Grey's Anatomy and House) got shut out. nothing! that bites!
damn, they didn't give an award for the bomb episode! or the train wreck episode of Grey's Anatomy! wtf is up with that! if you ever saw those episodes, you would know why I feel this way!
so what else is new? well, classes start tomorrow. hopefully everything is taken care fo regarding my financial aid. if I get a chance to check on this, and make sure, tomorrow. and if things are all great, get the refund going (so at least I get some money this week) and I can get caught up on my bills! yay!
and today, my mom talked with my aunt (uncle's widow). her leg hasn't healed from surgery this past year, and she seems to keep on getting hurt. in keeping with some of her beliefs, she went to a psychic fair for a psychic healing. and was told by the psychic the following (paraphrased):
"we normally don't say this, but there are a lot of people from the other side [people who have died] and they're saying that you'll never heal until you let go of your anger."
I didn't see anger in her, but there is definitely a lot she has to let go of!
seems like a family trait, though. my cousin is still mad about his father's suicide. my mom sometimes talks about it. I know its still there for me (I recently had a dream where I finally got the tattoo I've been planning, and I broke down after the tattoo....wonder what that means!). so maybe our family could take a hint from this phrase, and work on letting go of our anger and things individually. since, in many ways, my family does need to heal.
and I need a vacation, too! hmmm....let's see, I think I might be able to get one in 2 weeks. at the very least, it will be me sitting at home (probably an apartment) by myself, doing very little except what I want to do. for once in my lifetime! oh how I can't wait for that!
hmm, and that's all. how is everyone else's world out there?

As a general rule of thumb, it doesn't hurt to show up 10-15 minutes early to check in with the receptionist and fill out paperwork.
But for people like me, that opperate in a small private practice- there is no receptionist to check in with- so in that case you show up on time, and your therapist will go over the paperwork with you before your massage starts.
You can always ask on the phone when you book your appointment! Always better to arrive early than late!
don't be afraid to tell your therapist that it is your first time, and that you are nervous and don't know what to expect. they will be able to answer all of your questions so that you are able to relax easily.
tipping is good... same as dining- 15 -20%, unless the bill indicates service charge/gratuity included.
thats a pretty heavy tattoo you are planning to get. Good luck with the emotional/mental aspect of that.
I'm sure that you will have a lot to process after going through with your plans for it... your dream is quite on par with that.
