well, I've worked quite a bit the past few days, and I'm f*cking tired! really tired. for the past three days, I've come home from work, and either before or after dinner, I took a nap for at least one hour. its starting to suck!
you see, when I was a Resident Director, due to the chaotic sleep schedule, I fell into a pattern of taking a good 2 to 3 hour nap every day during the day. while it might not sound too bad, it also meant I wasn't sleeping through the night. plus, it seemed to have a drastic effect on my mood, making me more depressed and sadder. or maybe that's just me.
so this pattern I've gotta stop, and soon. I don't want to fall into that pattern again.
on other notes, well, the maintainence guy I've been covering for, well, he's out for about a week. plus, pretty soon, the full-time overnight cashier is going on vacation. I was asked (and accepted) to take her hours as well. meaning I'll have 56 to 60 hour work weeks....
but also means more money for me...
and I have to get some pictures up soon. about a week or so ago, we had a wicked thunderstorm pass through the area. after it was done, my older sister looked out and noticed a double rainbow in the sky. and a complete rainbow at that, too (you could see all of it!). it was quite cool. so she took a bunch of pictures with my digital camera! when I get a chance, I'll have to upload them and post them here! trust me, they are cool to look at!
hmm, so that's about it. nothing else I can really think of now. time forsome writing/self-introspection/reading. tomorrow I get to do laundry. yeah, no social life. but then again, since all my friends are no longer in Rochester (where I live), what is there left for me to do? not a whole lot. I'm an introvert, so meeting new people is tough....trust me on that one!
maybe I'll take up geocaching or something (I do have a handheld GPS unit!). suggestions, anyone, for starting? or anyone willing to tutor me/be my mentor for this? thanks!
