well, I was worried this week about only having about 22 hours from work (due to a snafu where I was going to work Overnight Thursday night, but then realized I was not needed for that shift).
then I get a call today around 10:30 AM. the wokery had a fire and they needed help cleaning it. there's 3 hours (and a $5 gift card for lunch).
and then I get a phone call tonight, they need someone to cover an 8 hour maintainence shift tomorrow.
so in the past 12 hours I've just picked up an additional 11 hours....sweet!
so yeah, only problem is contacting the school I'm suppose to have my internship at....oh well, c'est la vie!
addendum 7/18:
well, the one maintainence guy threw out his back Monday night. so I got an 8 hour shift today, and tomorrow, instead of 5 1/2 hours, I get another 8 hour shift! plus, at the end of this month, the full-time Overnight Cashier goes on vacation....so I get her days AND my days....I could be looking at close to 10 days straight of 8 hour shifts....

I need some of that luck with my work schedule too! I need to switch my resort shifts around for the new school year.... and I am having a hella hard time...
