well, my Spring Break is almost at an end. kind of funny, I have now gone through 7 Spring Breaks. with one common thread. because I'm a broke bastiche, I end up working to get money. spending it at home. unlike fellow classmates who get nice trips. nope, home in the snow.
soo, with that said, well, let's see. I worked. a lot. about 30 hours this past week. not too bad. and did some assignments. I'm still working on my Alt Ed paper. but I think I have the ideas now. also doing my reading for my presentation in 2 weeks. well, a week from Monday. about involving parents and teachers in character education. fun times, let me tell you!
outside of that, well, for me, getting over being sick. stopped taking the Pseudophen, or whatever its called. ear is feeling better. last night, passed out for about 12 hours. I was quite tired. so that was nice.
lots of stuff happening in the area. some of you might have read about the High School student scoring 20 points in a game. the big part is that he's the "team manager". this student is autistic. the couch, though, since he has done everything asked of him with no complaints, and really loves basketball, put him in the final game, when the team was ahead. so that was cool.
and in Oswego, some college Frat boys decided to attack someone's house. from what I have read, they thought it was a rival fraternity's house. nope, it was someone's apartment. this individual calls 911, then goes out to protect his property. figuring that any intelligent person would not jump someone with a knife, he brings one (personally, I would have gone out with a sword of mine, or something, as well. I have a feeling some of those gun owners out there would go armed with a firearm as well). the dumb Frat boys jump him. one is dead, at least one critical, stab wounds. people talking about how they didn't deserve to get stabbed. umm, they attacked someone who was innocent, so when you can justify that, you can talk to me about what they deserve or do not deserve! I'm hoping the man protecting his property is not charged with a thing. and the Fraternity brothers charged with aggravated assault, trespassing (BTW, in New York State, I believe minimal one year in jail), and vandalism. I've heard rumors that Oswego might go the route of my Alumnus, Alfred University, and dismantle the Greek system. at one time, I would assume it was a good thing. now, more often than not, it seems to be a way for stupid college boys to gang together and party, cause problems, and be an overall nuisance to the college itself. it was like that the 5 years I worked Residence Life. and this doesn't prove otherwise! and that's my rant.
someone here who seems pretty cool was the way I found out about this. hope they keep in mind that while I'm too afraid of rejection to request friendship, I gladly accept requests. and also that this person gets some time to relax soon!
and that's pretty about it. sorry that I haven't responded to journals as much. been kind of busy. and I don't want to respond for simply the sake of responding. so I'm trying to keep it relevant. if I have anything to add, I will!
oh, and I think my Federal Tax Refund came in. and I got $70 more than I calculated! yay!
