well, tomorrow might (hopefully) will be the last day of my "internship" where I got to watch people do things all day long. fun times, let me tell you!
we do have to go over my evaluation and figure things out. like why I was given a 1 (unsatisfactory, needs classroom instruction) for communication. yet, I was told, that while my "supervisor" thinks that school counseling is not the field for me, that I would "make a great therapeutic counselor." what does that mean?
well, she harped on the "social interaction" part of the position. then again, I'm introduced as "he's observing me." so what does that mean?
but I digress.
as solutions, I'm probably looking at:
Interpersonal Effectiveness II (another class, which I really don't want....basic counseling....>Yawn<
Counseling (if the issue is seen as being confidence or something like that).
or I'm thinking the groups class. I really didn't have a good, worthwhile class. and since it seems to be "social' aspects I'm lacking in, that makes me sense to me!
outside of that, classes are done! whoo-hoo! classes are done!
I start my job next week at Wegmans. front end. as in dealing with customers all day long. as they are leaving the store! even more fun for me!
and still haven't done any Christmas shopping....DOH!
on more interesting notes, I broke down my internship. I have spent about 50% of my time there in discussion, breaks, and such. hmm, interesting. and I broke down the time I saw the counselors doing at the Academy. way off what the National Model suggests (the 2003 model put out by the American School Counseling Association). and off what the New York State School Counseling Association recommends as well. so I'm guessing this office needs some help in things!
plus, as I've noticed, it seems that if you are not going ot college, you're a secondary concern to them! what's up with that?

I basically told a bunch of people that I really don't like them , but didn't use such nice words . Then I explained to various relatives how much I hate their fucking kids
