***WARNING, NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART***

so driving home from my classes today, and in front of my house (there is a T-Intersection there) I see this rabbit in the street. it doesn't move...odd.

I get closer and a I see a pool of blood...yuck!

I pull in, its under a street light, so I walk over to see what happened. and I noticed its one eye hanging out of the socket....oh that's gross!

so what to do, what to do? no one home. it won't move from the road. I don't want it to get hit, but no one is around. take out the cell phone, and I call my sister, who says to call 311 and ask for animal control.

well, thankfully, a person down the street saw it, too, and his daughter works at a vet office. she came down to the rabbit with a towel.

eventually she gets it. while trying to pick up the rabbit (it actually moved when she tried to pick it up, but didn't run away), its eye fell off! yuck!

and it was bleeding from the eye socket, but otherwise okay.

so she's taking it home, bringing it to the vet's office in the morning, where hopefully the only thing wrong with it is losing an eye. that will be stiched shut, and it will either be let loose again (if deemed okay), or a zoo or adoption!
