blah, crappy emo blog is gone....its the previous blog if you wish to read it.

woke up sore today. really sore. albeit, after a lot of sleep. like close to 12 hours. which I needed (since I worked overnight on Monday night, it resulted in me sleeping a few hours, driving to the interview, back, awake for a while, some more sleep, then a nice...

so my cousin (who is going through the divorce) gets home today....

as he put it, it looked like his house was ransacked.

his (soon to be ex) wife is gone. most furniture and such are gone. his three sons are gone.

1 police report, 300+ pictures, a change of all the deadbolt locks (which, BTW, are keyed entry on BOTH sides), and a visit...

cool article about a little Polish lady who comes into my store.

and sings.

and yes, I've heard her...she can sing!

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

Oh, yeah, just got an interview

June 2nd at Wayland-Cohocton....wish me luck!

tunnel_vision:
Why does she sing in the store?
testykitten:
i would be so delighted to have a random person sing at me on the street. it happens occasionally in central square in cambridge...but its usually some drunken dirge belted out by a dude that smells like pee.

my feet hurt!

but in good news, been sleeping good lately! could be that I'm on a somewhat normal sleep schedule. and the central air is now up and running!
tunnel_vision:
Elbow a wall, you will forget the foot pain biggrin

cool thing at work tonight.....

a few weeks, ago, a young girl (no more than 8 I would say) was in my line and asked about the mark above my eye. I have a red "blotch" of a birthmark (okay, more of a box) above my one eye. so I told her kindly "Its a birthmark."

her parents went to her "Oh, like the one...

so just got my tires rotated and balanced....ride and braking seems smoother.

maybe that was the problem....possibly!

2 tires needed balancing.

the guy commented "Yeah, it looks like you're about 1/2 way through the tread of your tires..."

let's see....I have 79,000 miles on my car, I got 80,000 mile tires at 30,000 miles.....could that explain things?

You can get tyres that do 80 000 miles??????I wish we got them here....Im lucky if i get 35 000 miles out of a set.

Happy Mother's Day, yaddee yaddee yaddee, yaddee yaddee yaddee.

seriously, when do we get Son's Day and Brother's Day? honestly?

so yeah, got my Mom a fitting card....on the outside, it has the quote "Sorry about all the dumb things I did...."

on the inside it says "You did keep telling me not to get smart."

it fits me.

so what else? feels really weird...

It will be the brake rotors, I think you can count on that. They might be able to turn them and take out the warp, but often you need to get new ones.

As I understand, one of the leading causes of warped rotors is when the guys at the tire shop get a little too trigger happy with their air guns when the are putting your wheels off and on. tightening the wheel nuts also tourqes down on the rotors on many cars. I paid a big pile of money for fancy new rotors on my Z-car ( I had the same problem as you and they fixed the problem) and now I follow all the instructions for tightening wheels (gradually, in several increments as you nurse them up to the righ torque) whenever I swap out my snow tires etc.

If you have drums in the back, it could be them too, even if it feel's like the fronts.

it sunny and beautiful here tongue

I just got home from a 10 hour work day, and am drinking a lovely glass of wine... it only cost $6, but beggars can't be choosers...

how;s the job hunt?

so BS policy at work....

"Male employees must tuck their shirts in. Female employees do not need to tuck in their shirts."

I asked why is that?

I was told "The male employee shirts are cut differently."

yeah, okay.

That rule only applies to our technicians
We on the other hand, have a "no jeans" dress code for the office

Take a wild guess as to what I wear every day biggrin
texaspsych:
hahahahhaha I am with Bender. I would so go in wearing a woman shirt, or find a shirt that is cut not to be tucked in. Yeah that is so much bullshit. I would be pissed and do it. Just like when the school I worked at put in time clocks for the paras. I accidentally poured a soda into it and it broke. That was the craziest thing. hahahhaa go shopping get your blouse!

so yesterday, washing dishes and >slice< I cut my finger on a knife.

not too bad....it bled some (hey, I bleed good)...but there are a few problems...

1. its my right index finger...my dominant hand.

2. its the tip, so typing or writing is now painful, since it hits where I cut it.

oh the joys!

and in other news, met the new overnight cashier...

and those of you who follow my adventures know, in 2007, I undertook a project of "hard scaping". I bought about 3 cubic yards of pea stone (or whatever), basically small round stones that you can walk on. I cut out underneath the raised deck we have in the back and made a border of bricks to edge things out, then filled it in with...
