freaking job blows sometimes.

the full=time overnight cashier is on a power trip again. basically telling me to do what I already do. but he thinks I don't do. oh well....from what I heard, he was supposed to be fired because of his attitude a while ago. as the guy telling me put it, he "cried Puerto Rican" to keep his job. as for the...

can anyone tell me if there is a place out there where I can get the needed bolts for my headlights? really, that's all I need.

see, the old ones corroded to the point where the heads of the bolts snapped off.

anyone? thanks!

and I don't know of any junk yards in my area to check out, so that is out of the question...

I could give you directions to a place that i know of....but i think Tunnels outstanding research will suffice.

driveway is cleared now....the snow blower needed a new spark plug. my step-father figured that running the same spark plug for 10+ years, and every so often filing it down to get rid of the carbon build-up may have led to the spark plug no longer being useful. you think?

the snow itself is kind of cool.....it has an aqua-blue tinge to it. from all...

heavy, wet snow, and quite a bit of it.

and the POS used snow blower my step-father insists works fine won't start.

fuck that....guess I'm not driving anywhere today!
aepaul:
Heavy wet rain here.
My wife's work lost power.

Good luck with your broken snow blower. I love it when people give me broken things and insist they work.
aldremech:
You can use mine. I have absolutely no use for the damned thing tongue

blog-o-rama....

so my leg is about 95% healed I think. the biggest test will be running. with a pulled muscle in the hip joint area, I think that will be the final test. I can tie my shoes normally now and put socks on without doing an audition for Cirque De Sole (or whatever its called), so that's good.

my sister is now on facebook...my...

Per question to Al: any good hardware store should
have a selection of nuts and bolts. If not ask them if the is a
fastener supplier in the area.
Fairfield was a nice Long Island Sound community when my folks
would visit friends with a beach-house there in the '50's & '60's.
If like Bridgeport last two summers, going Latino.
Best of luck.

Best of luck with the potential job....you deserve a permanent shot at a school that will appreciate you and it sounds like this is a good start

Yeah you can probably get them at the dealership but like Tunnel says try home depot or lowes. What about a trying a wreckers? I am sure you could get them there for next to nothing.

tonight is my fourth night in a row of working the overnight shift. the other person called in sick on Saturday. one person said she would do it...sure, except Saturday nights is when the overnight cashier puts together the newspapers, and she has no clue on how to do it.

so got to order as well. did a little re-stocking, figured out what we were...

Cheap junk yard part. They are common, new ones are not too expensive. Make sure to get the whole assembly, Used headlight adjusters are a pain. Before you remove the old ones out, pull up to a wall and chalk where the LOW beams hit in correlation with the car. Headlights require adjustment, it will make life easier installing the new ones. If they have levels disregard them they are too confusing.
Or most body shops have a machine to adjust them. That's what those little bumps are for. wink

so my leg is almost healed. the tough part now is getting back what I lost. seriously, in about a week, I seem to have lost some flexibility in my leg. so I'll be working on getting it back in shape and on par with my other leg soon. now, I get a dull ache, but nothing like I had. I will know its 100%...

That's always frustrating screwing up your sleeping pattern. It takes me almost a week to recover.

I'm working graveyards just for this week and next week it's going to suck going back to morning shift.

well, my leg is still healing. I'm running into the problem that, due to how I've been walking lately (with a limp), my leg is hurting in my knee and inner thigh. oh the joys.

one person said "Oh, put Icy Hot on your leg." they seem to not realize...I'm not putting Icy Hot anywhere near the dangling bits, and to me, the inner thigh...

well, some progress with my leg. I can walk on it with minimal to no pain. the problem is, I still have the limp thing going on. so I'm going to have to move away from that. I'm really concerned that the way I'm walking could damage other parts of my leg, as I've noticed pain in my knee and thigh area. guess you win...

Meh, I broke an ankle many years ago. I wear shoes out funny and never have any trouble with it. Except when I snorkel.
I was on Facebook for a week after a 8 month hiatus. Many rotten people kept trying to friend me. I got irritated, told a few where the bear shits in the woods and deactivated my account Again.
That site is for connecting with the people from the past. In my life there are very few I want to keep in contact with. Too many rotten people have done to many rotten things to me. Hence why I am so bitter

I liked the opening ceremonies. It was pretty much assumed here that Gretzky would be lighting the cauldron but I like how they ended up picking 4 people to do, especially since they have all had a lot to do with sports in Canada and have all done a lot of charity work.
