so my step-father brought his car in today to have the A/C fixed. he said it was fine...well, it was blowing out 95%+ heat. so guess not.

the A/C got fixed...and the serpentine belt was cracked so that got replaced. and his wipers were bad. so he had them replace those as well (Firestone).

to the tune of $375+. so guess it was quite a...

so last day of vacation...I need to fix the hood latch (again) of my car and get another engine flush done. and make sure the radiator hose stays attached this time. my neighbor was quite surprised by the fact that the hose stayed on so long without the clamp being locked down.

although I did run out of radiator fluid...oddly enough, I still had a...

Holy crap, how did you pull that off with the radiator hose? shocked

Life is life & I'm couldn't be more frustrated at the moment haha. But things could be getting better, you never can tell if you're me tongue

Hope you got the plug out !

so my car is fixed...kind of.

the neighbor got the spark plug out. cracked the ceramic, but nothing else. put on some anti-seize and the electrolytic grease. still got the tick, though.

then he noticed....the clamp to the hose that connects to my radiator was not clamped. okay....clamp it down, check....no fluid in the reservoir. go and get it filled, run the car....drip drip drip...

That is so awesome what your grandmother and mother did for people living with CP and the foundations that support it. biggrin

so preparing to go into the shower, and my sister calls. the power to her house is out (the actual cable to the house is disconnected). she was coming over...okay.

she got here around 12:30 PM....and still here! okay, so I got a free dinner at Ruby Tuesdays out of the deal....but now she is monopolizing the TV like she owns the house....pisses me off!...

I'll post it here too ...
put the wires back on, and start the engine for a minute, to warm it up a bit ...

1st full day off.....time to shower, change the plugs and wires in my car, and pay some bills. and eat. can't forget to eat!

yesterday mopped the kitchen, bathroom, and entranceway floors (got one of those wetjets, so its quick and easy). left on the list is laundry and cleaning the stove top off.

what a "vacation", huh?
whatever

so my vacation is pushed back at least a day....the parental units were cleaning out the Jeep, put the keys in to move it.....and nothing.

the lights go on, the bell dings....even the radio works. but when the key is turned to start the Jeep...you get no clicking noise or cranking or anything. it just does nothing new (but the lights stay on and the...

so the Jeep diagnosis.....a small metal piece in the starter broke off. a small metal piece that can only be bought as a unit from the Dealership to the tune of $500.

work last night, what a great way to make you really feel misanthropic.....people wonder why my store isn't doing so great....

surround yourself with clueless cashiers. one, she's an old lady, just walks away from her register whenever she wants to. and no one in management says a word. that was to the right of me.

to the left....a cashier who won't shut the f*ck...

more riding, about 2 hours, the area had lots of ruts (think tractor run through a muddy area). fell once, popped back up and kept going.

getting used to the riding thing....but this was challenging (riding through ruts and gouges and such). so that's good!

now time to find food!

Go eat my friend you deserve after a long day of bumping wink

so I actually have a few days off in a row. which sucks because my paycheck is going to blow. but is great because it means I can do some things that need to get done....like tune-up my engine (change the plugs and wires...how hard could a 4 cylinder engine where the plugs and wires are on top be) and balance the one ceiling fan...

the ticking sound when starting your car is most likely at the starter ... check the Black and Red wire leads from your battery to the starter, and clean the contacts/connections. It's usually a sign of crap built up causing a poor connection.
i___zombie:
OH! ... and you shouldn't need to replace the Spark Wires, ... just get an emery board, or sand paper and clean the build-up on the contacts, ... save yourself $$$ for a .50 stick of cosmetics tool wink

so I don't work Tuesday from 8 PM through Saturday at 9 PM....what shall I do?

and in better news....saw "her" last night again.

Her....the story.

a customer who is wildly sarcastic that used to come in the nights I worked. we could spend a 1/2 hour easily chatting about whatever. kind of cute. but to me, even better, love her personality (sarcastic and devious...

Most of us have uttered the *crazy cat lady* comment in jest because we were single at the time.... think about it.

Need I remind you that you are employed - ITS A REAL JOB. She talks to you every time she is there. It doesn't sound like she has a problem with what you do for a living. You may not get another chance. This is as perfect as its going to get.
i___zombie:
Dude! ... You have nothing to lose by asking her out for a date. Even something very casual as a walk in the park, or the cliche "coffee".

... the real kicker would be ... does she like Comic Books?

wow....New York State legislators actually did something right last night.....

Law passed allowing gay marriages in New York State

I so love everyone who goes "We were founded as a Christan Nation" and such....ranks up there with the person who said "Marriage is for producing children."

my responses....
1. try again....read the Constitution. SEPARATION of Church and State. we were founded for religious tolerance...and the...

no laughing...although constructive criticism and feedback on the ride would be appreciated. I know I need to work on the start-up (being smoother).

thanks!
