so now I have submitted another form to Sallie Mae for an economic hardship deferment on my student loans. we shall see if this one goes through...it does have a nice catch. one of the eligibility requirements is that you need to be under another hardship deferment to qualify....now, since all my student loans have been sold to Sallie Mae, this might make it difficult... so visited my cousin's comic book store today (actually Friday) to buy my new comic books. talking with my cousin and making plans for seeing Dream Theater on the 15th. he tells me "You interested in the meet and greet, John Petrucci at least will be there."
talk about having an orgasm on the spot.....a free meet and greet with members of Dream Theater?
the squid is not alive, but since it is so fresh (the preparation from live squid to this dish is 3 minutes or less) there is still residual activity in its decentralized nervous system (you will notice that... Read More
another fun day of working...left at 8 AM, back in at 6 PM. dealing with dumb ass customers and fellow employees....one of these days I might just have to go on a shooting spree or something. headlines will read something like: Disgruntled employee shoots up supermarket, makes the statement "there are just too many dumb asses in the world today not to take a few... so last night, after collecting them for years, I played in my first Heroclix tournament. the first match I was destroyed (hit one character once). made a few mistakes...the person I played against told me "Learn your powers." so I looked things over and figured out where I went wrong.
second game, I won.
third game, I just lost...and think I should have won. but... Read More
$40 in hand and a trip to the House of Guitars (google it). walk out with a ticket to see Dream Theater.....another thing crossed off my bucket list soon!
so my step-father's car is stalling now. he brought it to a mechanic last week who had the car for 2 days and couldn't figure out the problem. during this time he was driving my Mom's Jeep. the tough part...he drives the car like its his own, and takes no consideration about other people (he runs around and does stuff like he would normally in... Some people just don't extend their thinking beyond their own current needs. It's possible that he might see the logic of things once someone clues him in, but it's uncomfortable for us to be put in the position of having to tell someone something they should be able to figure out on their own.
well, he got his sister's/father's car. he asked her not to leave the car overnight at the apartment complex where this woman she takes care of lives (known for not being the nicest of areas). and her plan....leave the car there for the entire week with no one watching it. alas, its a family trait....they were raised to believe they are never wrong. their mother did not believe her children could be wrong or have any issue unless it smacked them right in their face (my step-father has many tendencies to indicate ADHD, but it would never be accepted). such is the life of children raised in privilege it seems (at leave for this family).
now its wait and see for his car and what is wrong with it.
so my step-father just called the newspaper and complain that the delivery isn't "On the front step like he wants it to be," and this is not the first time he has called to complain.
makes me wonder if I should put a note on my car saying "I'm not the one calling and complaining."
wonder how long it will take for my step-father to... Read More
My paper delivery person is an asshole. I don't mind picking the paper up from the driveway, but when I have to get it from under the bushes next to the driveway, they can go fuck themselves.
One of my favorite work conversations was at my last job. I tend to be the guy who's just one of the girls. My two work buddies got pregnant around the same time. One day the three of us are in one of the offices, when the women start discussing how hard it was to keep their lady bits groomed when they were in the later stages of pregnancy. Eventually it devolved to talking about how one of the women's husband had to basically go at her with a weed whacker and a hedge clipper. We had tears in our eyes from laughing so hard.
well, since graduating in December of 2007 I've been struggling to find employment. thank you greedy bastards more concerned with your pocket book then what is right, tanking the economy. now, as sad as it seems, education has become a luxury in this country, with constant budget cuts and lay-offs. as a result, finding employment as a school counselor is particularly difficult.
I've heard Roch Works does good things. I can tell you that the CASAC is a great and marketable certification to have. There are recent OMH regulation changes that require people to either have a license in social work or a CASAC. I've known many people who have completed that certification and some had very little educational background. PM me if you want to chat more about it. Good Luck!
