MAT in Drama. I have a degree in theatre arts, and have been teaching now, but I don't actually have any certification yet. Therefore, the job isn't secure after this year, and I don't get paid quite as much.

The school I work for now? No. Now, I might be able to get an assistantship and have it paid for, but the University has not been very informative. The website is vague, and no one will return my emails. It doesn't exactly imbue me with confidence. whatever

I think Al-Jazerra is in an interesting position.

They are attempting to become the CNN of the Arab world but that is extremely difficult ...

Especially considering many of the Arab nations are governed by dictators, or Islamists. Considering they balance this well, I would...

It also has the nice aspect of only being 128 pages long smile) ... I really enjoyed the eccentricity of the main character and the author winking at himself.

Today it actually feels like New Years Day .. One Day Late ....

The Rose Parade is going there are college bowl games galore and it has that mellow feel.

Not hungover but I wasn't yesterday either.

I must say though I had a Brooklyn Brown (88) and a Brooklyn Monster Ale (93-94) and they knocked me off enough...

The Monster Ale is 10% ABV(20...

But its true on ESPN at 8:30 tonight its Rutgers vs. Arizona State in the Insight Bowl...

I can't tell you how happy this makes me.

Happy New Year!

Well, the plantain recipe is pretty trivial.

Take a yellowish-black plantain. Peel and slice (about 1/2" thick). Heat your oven to about 400 (or so, I'm still experimenting). Lightly oil the plantains and put on a silpat (or nonstick baking sheet, but silpats are awesome!). Flip once when browned on top. Eat with a light sprinkling of kosher salt.

Enjoy!

Merry Christmas you all.

Hopefully can see some good movies this week.

Very curious to see "Walk The Line", "King Kong", "Syriana" and "Harry Potter" among others. Also would love to see "Rent" and "the Producers..."

Would also love to have enough money for rent but that is another whole thing.

Nice to have a lovely church service at the Lehigh Valley UU Church in...

Mine were low-key - I stayed at home and literally did NOTHING with anyone else - but this year, that was just what the doctor ordered.

Walk The Line was amazing, and I also loved Syriana this year. Haven't seen much else this year I'd recommend. I love the Harry Potter series and can't believe I've yet to see the new one; I may go rectify that oversight here in a little while, actually.

Cheers!
cineman:
Yeah, isn't that a great film? Glad you enjoyed it and have fun at KK, too.
