Go Bammy Go! We were a split household when the primary came to PA, but as the race progressed, we managed to have some party unity. I'm REALLY hoping that the rest of the nation follows suit. McCain is one scary SOB. 100 year war, indeed.

In other news, all is well in frinky-land. E's sister has a baby due any minute now...

Thanks to all who sent out birthday wishes yesterday. It was, indeed, a very festive day. E arranged a surprise bowling party for me and all my homeys came out of the woodwork. Also, it was reminiscent of those awesome parties I had when I was 10 and they had the creepy "party room" in the bowling alley where a clown might show up. But...

It's a big day in PA! We're actually getting a say in the presidential nomination for the first time in god-knows-how-long. I'm very excited. While I voted for Bammy, I honestly wish there were a lever for "Obama, but, seriously, they're both so far above anyone the Republicans could field that I can't believe there even is a general election...

So in honor of Pennsylvania's unprecedented nominatorial importance this election cycle, the Colbert Report has been broadcasting from Philadelphia all week, and your old pal, Frinky, scored himself a ticket, he did (alas, Mrs. Frinky couldn't make it). I've actually seen a taping before, but this was unbe-freakin-lievable.

Live in the studio, there was Hillary (who was goofy, but not very funny...

Even though we are just about the least Jewy Jews there are (see, I can't even spell Jewy), Mrs. Frinky and I are gonna throw olde timey Seder this weekend. It'll be suffering-tastic.

Oh my, but it's been a while since I've posted anything here, and for those of you who've been anxiously awaiting updates of married life, I apologize. For those of you who are thinking about it, I strongly recommend it. It gives men a chance to wear jewelry without resorting to god-awful chain necklaces.

Also, we caught a Philly Film festival film...

Dear person who stole E's wallet while we were watching the Simpsons movie,

You are a bad person. You would redeem yourself (in part) if you returned the wallet to the theater, so at least she didn't have to go through the hassle of getting a new driver's license. But seriously, how long do you think it takes to cancel credit cards...

Oh my! Two months since my last post? That's a long time, even for me.

So what's happened since then?

1. Well, plans for my top secret announcement from my last post are well underway.
2. We read Harry Potter (and lots of other books). Two thumbs up!
3. We're getting ready for our summer trip to Cape Cod.
4. Other than...

If you ever have the opportunity to Barbecue pizza, take it! I mean it. We used the recipe from Cook's Illustrated and it was unbelievable. Dare I say it, it was as good as pizza in Rome.

Frinky is among the first people to regain access, once I get everything sorted out. Sadly, I can't batch edit my contact settings, only the privacy settings for the pics, so I have to change the status of every person to what it should be one by one... *sigh*
iris:
Maybe I should!

On Friday, E's cat moved into Chez Frinky (along with some significant fraction of E, herself). My dog (pictured) wasn't even aware of kittie's presence (she was hiding in the basement) for about a day until 5am this morning, we hear at the foot of my stairs "Meow! Meow!" Puppy was too slow on the uptake, so he couldn't eat her...

I meant with this site. Not my life. But yeah, change does make me feel like there's gum in my hair a lot of the time!

....Of course, one time a while back I did get gum in my hair, and I was drunk, and all I wanted to do was eat a sandwich whilst my friend tried to force my head under the sink. And I can't say I've felt quite like that about anything since....

Hmm.

E and I headed of to New York's Lincoln Center last night to watch a live recording/performance of This American Life!

Despite the very late return and the cobwebs this morning, it was so worth it!

It was an all-star show -- a who's who in nerdly writers: Sarah Vowell, Jonathan Goldstein, Dan Savage, and, of course, the man himself, Ira Glass. And...
