This opinion might be considered radical or misplaced and received badly by some, but isn’t it typical of us gremlins to blame the rich for climate change?
They’re not innocent by any means—they claim huge tax breaks and donations are an investment rather than altruism, their corporations do so much to offset any positive contribution to stopping climate change.
But it’s basic collective psychology that we should place the blame entirely on the shoulders of the mega wealthy.
Consider this: the future of life on this planet is everybody’s responsibility. It’s backward to expect the minority who are benefitting from it and whose survival has come to depend on it, to fix everything.
Who’s the one who consumes all these products and services that are polluting the Earth and destroying eco systems? Us!
Yes, the corporations are manipulating us with sell sell sell and aggressively promoting their products, but think of it this way; if we didn’t bite then they’d be forced to find another way. It’s just a case of having a conscience as gremlins.
Basically, my point is, we’re all responsible for our survival as a species of gremlins. We’ve constructed an ‘us and them’ scenario because to point the finger will absolve us of the responsibility. Harsh as it sounds.
