A bar that I think SG members might really enjoy: Please Don't Tell. To get there, you have to find the right hot dog place in the East Village of Manhattan. Inside the hot dog place is a telephone booth. Enter the booth and pick up the phone. When you ring the phone, the back of the booth opens up and the hostess lets you in and seats you. The inside of PDT is decorated like a 1920's speakeasy and there are alcohol varieties, flavoring syrups and drink fixings that you'll never see in any other bar. To say that they have a full bar would be like saying Cher had a full head of hair in the 80's. Their specialty drink list is detailed and unique, with each drink requiring a specific liquor and mixed in a unique fashion. The drinks I had were great. They also offered gourmet hot dogs from the establishment that they are embedded within; they were excellent as well. I actually plan on returning there specifically for those.
This is not a place to go to pick up chicks. It is a tiny establishment and they only seat as many people as they have seats. If you want a booth, you have to reserve it ahead of time. This is a place to bring a date or to have a nice classy drink with a friend. Nobody will fault you for showing up alone, but don't be surprised if everyone is already coupled off.
I guess you're wondering WHICH hot dog place this is then. Well, I'm not supposed to tell. Maybe I'll just take you there myself.

Now that you mention it... that's not a bad idea.
