All the studying is going well. I've started getting up between four and five AM, going into work, and studying there. It's quiet, and it also lets me check that everything's in order. Wednesday morning, which feels about a bajajillion (That's a Bah-Hah-jillion, usually only found in Southern California, but making a suprise guest appearance here in South Carolina) hours ago, I discovered our internet...

heavens above even I dont get up that early with the little munchkin, what a dedicated fellow you are.

I sort of liked the orange too now you mention it but it was so patchy where Id overdyed it plus I really do have blonde ambition these days it seems

Bras probably would be cosy, and you could wear one with a loved one as snuggley headwear, awww (my idea so if anyone steals it I will know who tongue)

by the way that entry was just for you because of your last message to me, hope i did you proud as it took en minutes with a banging hangover!

Sometimes you just need to stop and smell the roses... or watch CSI if no roses present themselves. Thanks, Loe.

It's been a long day, and it's going to be a little longer, with an early start to it tomorrow at what may safely be termed in military parlance "zero dark hundred". I like the people I work with and for... but you know, I'm...

Today I shall speak of imaginary numbers.

No, not the square root of minus one. That's a real imaginary number, and I speak of imaginary imaginary numbers.

I have decided that, in ascending order we have:

a zillion ( the base more-than-I can-shake-a-stick-at-if-I-was-stick-shaking-the-rest-of-my-life number)
a gazillion ( a God-Awful number of zillions, usually used for bad things)
a bazillion ( a Bigger Assload number of...

Someone once said that we all aspire to be Bugs Bunny, on some level. I think I have to agree.

It takes grace to be resolute yet not frantic (as we go sliding off into Daffy guise).

It takes resolve to stand up for what's right without losing our calm (as our inner Taz claws his way out).

It takes calm to be gently supportive...

A few observations:

(1) Rice bran works well in place of bread in salmon croquettes. Oat bran works well in place of bread in meatloaf. The reverse does not hold true.

(2) Sometimes the world seems very close to being right. Sometimes, when it's further from right, it seems as if it could very easily be put right by the application of logic and pure...

Definately a "monster pile of sticks" - you made it sound so appealing. Actually, one Hallowe'en I went Trick or Treating as the Abonimable Snow Man. It was brilliant, because late October is typically FREEZING up here and the need for winter wear always messes up the 'scariness' of one's costume (every one who lives around here has at least one tragic childhood tale of a cheap plastic cape/mask/prosthetic something or other that shattered in the cold while trick or treating).

Ya know, I never thought much of ogres until the whole "Shrek" thing happened. I thought Princess Fiona was pretty cool so I think I'm going to jump on the ogre band wagon. A close second might be a vampire (but only cuz of the cool, gothy clothes -- I'm not sure I could sign on to the whole blood drinking part of the deal.) puke

Thanks for dropping by my journal. It's always nice to see someone new pop in for a visit! smile

Go go October power go! (<--- said in best Inspector Gadget voice)

Sunday night: 3 hours sleep
Monday night: 4 and one half hours sleep

And yet Monday and today, am I tired? No! Do I think clearly? Yes! Can I go on amazingly long walks at the end of the day and actually keep up with the dog I am walking the whole time?...

I was driving into work Friday morning, and I got behind a car with license plates "495 TAG".

One thing I've always done ever since I learned to read is convert numbers to letters and vice-versa. So it was a really cool 20 seconds that I was driving behind "Die Tag" before I remembered that "Tag" is masculine in German. Ah well.

Still, to take...

Our phone number used to end with 7399 and once we got a call from a little kid telling us "hee hee! Your phone number is ###-SEXY!" it was so cute.

I don't get the "Tag" part....

It's been raining in the early evening for three days straight, which means I haven't been able to take my usual walks with Her. I am hoping it will be clear tomorrow... and not totally, hopelessly muddy. I'll still go, though, as long as it's not raining.

I think I'm going to found a group... if I don't find one after looking... for recreational programming...

Oh, one more end step to the project: "Tying it all together in a theoretical model".
But we'll get to that after we cross a few... um whole freaking lot of, that is... other bridges first.

Ok, Cars:
They have:
1) Width and length. These should be modeled in the same unit system in which the road length is measured.
2) Acceleration ability. Units as...

I'm going to play a game, and you can all all play as much or as little as you'd like.

I've decided to do a computer model, purely for fun, and what I'm going to model is traffic. What started me thinking about this was a couple of things- the biggest single one, thinking about the speed at which a wreck cause traffic to back...

I took Her for a long
long
long
and very uphill
and downhill walk today, along with Nameless coworker.

Limits of dog and man were tested.

Pooped.

But Her had a good time. smile

Sleep now.

This is what you get for spontaneously tripling the distance you cover...

I just did a serious impersonation of a rock for nine hours.

Limestone, I think. wink
