So, my news this week is that after a suspicion that something wasn't quite right with Fearless, and a couple of trips to the vet, it has been confirmed that he has diabetes. Saturday morning was my first morning doing insulin shots. Fortunately, it's gone about as well as is possible... it's a very small needle, and Fearless took it without any complaint. It may... Time for a new entry. All those wonderful comments deserve something new from me.
This is just not the best time, though. So, instead, I'm going to go the other direction, and ask for more from all of you. That's right... questions. Well, first, ask me some. But second, here are some for all of you.
What's the oddest thing in which you have sincerely... Read More
Hee hee. I should've looked up the code for SOS. You are such a techno geek I shoulda known you would try to figure out my Morse-like babble. Very cute cat who looks like she's enjoying her soft, comfy bed.
So when are we going to have the opportunity ot see your answers?
Rachel Weisz is adorable - I cannot blame you for crushing on her
I'm like that with Cillian Murphy and Jon Reese Myers - they can be in a steaming pile of crap movie...and because I think they're hot...I'd sit through it and swoon.
Bloodrayne is entertaining if you want a laugh and if you're drinking It has THAT redeeming value!
First, a final... and much prettier version of the code I did for Lunne: Neel's Silly Code
I have learned from this experience that SG is an awful place to post code [the formatting really is abominable]... and that used improperly, my code can kill people. [um, sorry, Greaser, dude] So I promise only to use my powers for good, not evil, and refrain... Read More
Other than the quarter you sent me awhile back, no. I thought I said I'd received that though. If not, I did. I left it like a lucky penny, face up for someone else to find.
One blog back I talked about Bob. Go read it if you haven't... please.
Today I took Mama and Baby and Claw and Fang [*] out for a little while. Fang in particular was enjoying it:
My nickname for Fang is "the trouble kitty" (well, also "Mr. Personality", but...) and about 15 seconds after the end of the video, he decided it was time to... Read More
When all my guys were born, she was the one that was different. From anyone. Screech was so obviously like his mother, an orange tabby. Fang and Claw were matched orange and white, Fang short haired, and Claw fluffy.
Bob was the one that probably took after her father, although I'll never know for sure.
Blessings to you and kitty Bob, who is undoubtedly chasing birds and squirrels in kitty heaven.
I put a kitty down just a few years ago who was my companion thru thick & thin for nearly 18 years. People said we were joined at the hip. When I made the choice to put Pfister down, it was always with the shadow of "is this the right thing?" lurking in the back of my mind. He was unhealthy, becoming unhealthier, and I realized that the sheer force of my love for him was not a good reason to keep him alive. Before the vet disposed of his remains, the nurses painted his little front paws and made an ink imprint for me to keep. It's framed on my dresser to this day and I actually took it to my tattoo artist and had a replica of those paws inked onto my right hip. Now we really are joined at the hip forever.
Bob sounds like she was a special girl. You were a good dad and loved her to pieces until the very end. That much is certain.
I'm sorry I missed this blog when you put it up. I regret never having met her, I know she was an incredibly special girl and nothing will ever change that. She was lucky to have you as a dad. As always I'm here for you. That was a beautiful tribute to her.
Going Through the Motions Once More, With Feeling/Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Buffy:
Every single night
The same arrangement
I go out and fight the fight
Still I always feel
This strange estrangement
Nothing here is real
Nothing here is right
I've been making shows of trading blows
Just hoping no one knows
That I've been
Going through the motions
Walking through the part
Nothing seems... Read More
Last night/this morning, after I signed off, while I was sitting with Bob, she had a stroke. It was her time to go, and I let her. I took her in to the specialist this morning (my Mom, bless her, came and drove me in so I could hold Bob the whole way), and he helped me make sure she... Read More
