I had it re-done a few weeks ago, and badpenny did a lovely job making it look less like crap. I like it lots now. I have to bake him brownies, I think.
Once upon a time, on a Friday night, my best friend and I were hanging out with nothing much to do. No parties, no shows... It wasn't even a trash night, so we couldn't go cruising for old books and furniture in Jenkintown. Bored. All of a sudden, Holly got an idea: "Let's go downtown and get matching tattoos!"
So that's what we did. Unfortunately, she was underage, so we had to go to a place where we wouldn't get carded. We wound up at 13th and South... if you know Philly you are surely shaking your head. But we were young and stupid. We went in, looked at all the pictures on the walls and in the books, and couldn't find anything we really liked. But we were determined to get our ink... so Holly picked up a pen and paper, and said, "how about something like this? and the tattoo kid said, "you mean this?" and added to the sketch. I looked and said, "good, if you do this and this." So between the three of us we came up with this design. I have it on my shoulder, and Holly has it on her upper back. But the dude made thick, blurry lines, did a lopsided circle, and even placed mine a little off center on my arm. Then I had to go back a few months later (went to the same shop
) because it had faded so badly.
But that's okay, cuz finally, after something like 5 years... damn I can't remember when I got it. It could be longer. 6 years? Well, anyway, I went to Gadget's favorite tattoo shop and got badpenny to fix me up. Now instead of a blurry mistake, I have a decent tattoo.
Oh, by the way, if you're wondering what the hell it's supposed to be... I call it my Flaming Olive. Yum. Holly still has hers just the same as it's always been, but she likes how mine looks so she's probably gonna go get the same fixup I did. (The original design was supposed to be a sun and moon together, so it's still an eclipse really, but I prefer to tell people it's a flaming olive.)
In other news: I'm having sex again. Yay!
Current Favorite SG set: Mle: Pad. Mle is so much fun!
also: funny thing, ever since the SGB shows, I have had a thing for blondes. This is new. I usually prefer redheads and brunettes. I think it's Reagan's fault. And RavenIsis. Especially in that Goldfinger number. Whew! Tasty.

I am like 100 times more psyched for this show than I was earlier. Thank you so much! haha!!
I know of just one SG girl going who's not performing, the gorgeous Monica. Here's hoping some more show. The problem is, our nearby neighbors to the north are having two shows relatively close together (Toronto and Montreal) before the show hits Buffalo, meaning the very lovely Canuck SG's won't be making an appearance, damn it.
Oh, i forgot to ask, can we bring pictures to the burlesque show?
