Kids...I look so cute today, it hurts.

Maybe a certain someone will take me somewhere if I'm good.

Is anyone as excited as I am that the shotput events were held in Olympia?!?! That is beyond awesome.

Do you think logos need to be simple?

Edit: For example, the SG logo is not simple. Does that make it less effective?

mk700c has it right. I would add: needs to change size well. A good logo must work both on stationary and billboards. happy branding.
eviltwin:
also easily identifiable. you don't want your product being constantly confused for something else. i also think it's important that it makes sense for the product, though a very straightforward logo can get away with being a bit more generic looking.

hrm... dunno if that was actually helpful or not. whatever

the struggle is over. I'm glad. I need a good, long break from it.

The Artistic Director/Playwright and I are now beginning to dramaturge (research) the next two projects. I'm afraid if I talk about them too much I'll jinx something, so just expect random comments and/or rants about dramaturgy in general in the coming weeks. If you're really curious (why would you be?) there...

Five hour conference call today. One 10 minute bio break. I learned that "expiry" is apparently a Canadian word. Like "folks" and "soda" are American.

Watched some Six Feet Under with Dogslife.

I love that man.

you know, i thought about that english class, but english literature before 1945 really doesn't get me going. i much prefer contemporary literature.

i'm thinking about the third world politics class, but i'm worried that it may be too 'beginner' for my needs. wow. that sounded really stuck up. but yeah, perhaps i'll just talke women in politics and start picking out what bras to burn and start growing my leg hair out just to spite the 'man.'

UPDATE:
Thanks for the tips everyone. But I was running and I was burning virtually no calories*. How is biking different?

I have a bike, but I won't be using it for a while. A guy at work had his chain fall off and he broke his wrist. I'll have to forget about that before I get serious about biking.

*Note: Virtually no calories =...

Yeah... I couldn't handle the blue. It looked good in my old bedroom but not this one. The green looks SO much better. smile

Okay, you mentioned The House of Mirth. Now I have to go cry. More than three years later, that book still upsets me. Life is so hard and nobody wants to help her...god, what a great book, that it still has this effect on me.

Wait, that's all you burn with forty minutes of running? I've been living a lie. Shit.

This always happens to me before a play.

I dream we are in new space, and at the last minute, I realize that we forgot to do something--usually it has to do with setting the lighting cues. By the time I realize what has happened, it's too late to alert anyone, and I have to run the lights on the fly.

Last night's dream we...

I am a fan of the pink. I just got a haircut today, and reddish highlights, so that it doesn't look like a big brown blob anymore.

The 2nd BBQ was less filling than the first, but still gluttonous.

The little theatre company is making me an official partner. Hooray for me! Financial situation is good; I get all my money back, and everything from here on in will be profit. We're trying to procure some wealthy benefactors. Given that this is a mostly Italian theatre company, we have many letters...

oryx:
blush

i like all of the colours in the first pic you posted of your new wool. anything that's dark and rich is good with me.
