Humanist ceremonies are beautiful things.

My aunt had organised a humanist ceremony earlier this year, it was one of the most emotional things I'd ever experienced. Not one mention of Gawd.

I hope the family is coping.

I should be packing for Connect!
Writing my blog is a suitable method of procrastination smile

One of my best friends in the whole world is home for a few weeks from Japan, not seen her for a year. She's a popular girl so it's hard to get much time with her, but she's coming to Connect with me, hooray!

So much has changed since...

yeah, two days is. . . longer than i usually last. that's what i get for working ina place where there's a cafeteria, a vending machine with coffee AND a stall selling coffee between the staffroom and the classroom.

it was my first visit to amsterdam, and i really. . . i was there for a few days and it wasn't nearly enough, and i was torn between trying to cram lots in and see as much as i could of what there is to see there, and just chilling and watching the world go by. so i did a bit of both. as i'll do next time. i really liked it, it's such a friendly, cool place smile

thanks, lady!

i guess it's a learning thing, but life's going pretty well for you without having gone to uni. despite them being some utterly shite years in comparison to the ones before and after (for numerous reasons), i did learn a lot.

you guys still planning a move to edinburgh?

Amsterdam is a city with much to do and much to see,
like any big city you might think.
But it's different.
The whole feel of the place is unlike any other I've visited, it's one of the only places I've been I think I would choose to inhabit on a more permanent basis - alas things are so busy at home.

This is my...

I agree completely. There are a few places I'd like to keep visiting again and again, but Amsterdam is the only place outside the UK I've wanted to live in.
kintoun:
I whole heartedly agree with you, if I ever get the opportunity I'll buy myself a little apartment there.

I like the idea of this a lot, but I don't understand why 70s spy films are dark green?
