gayballs

Last night I was a drunken, pathetic, blubbering mess.
Today I am hungover.

I've been avoiding the blog because I'm miserable and that misery permeates my every thought these days. I don't want to blog about that anymore. I use a lot of hyperbole and drama and I don't want to worry anyone. My train of thought lately worries even me.

I just finished this book.
This was fun.
The main character used the word 'yegg,' which I haven't heard since the movie Brick.
Funny, it seems that more than a couple of my literary forays into pulp/noir have taken place like, right beyond the boundaries of Hollywood. Actor/actress has-beens or never-beens who wind up making porn and involve themselves in some craziness with drug/porn kingpins or whatever. Gumshoes. Dames. People who instinctively know how to pick locks and that they should wipe down guns to keep their prints off.

I liked it, but like a lot of this genre stuff, once the story is over I'm left wondering what happened.
How did he figure that shit out? I have no clue and I've finished the book so I'm not gonna try again.
I'm not gonna read another one of these right away for fear of them melding into each other in my mind.
That happens to me with a lot of genre shit.

I'll be blogging about these a lot in the future, though. I joined the Hard Case Crime book club and Hillary got me four of these for my birthday.



I've worked out 3 times this week, so far. I'm sore and I feel good. My body is changing. Even I can see it. I'll be working out again in a couple of hours, when this hangover has fully worn off and I've vacuumed the apartment.

I have a crazy hardon. My girlfriend's working the Stephanie Meyer's Twilight vampire prom today. She's wearing her prom dress.
