Actually, you'd be surprised. The audience was an even mix of gay/strait. I know this because Carson Kressley from Queer Eye and How to Look good Naked was the host and he said "Clap if your gay" and then "Clap if you're strait" and the claps were about the same.
We did sit (in our lawn chairs) directly behind some gay guys who were dancing up a storm badly!
