This evening I'll be going to see Judah Friedlander at the Miami Improv. He was the hug guy in that Dave Matthews video. Aw. He make me happy.
I hope he's funnier than his hats. He was in fucking awesome comic movie American Splendor and he's in fucking awesome sitcom 30 Rock.
But he still doesn't strike me as particularly funny.
Oh well. the tickets are free through some MySpace promotion.
I have to go to the box office and say "I'm a MySpace winner!" Which I guess means the tickets aren't free at all-- I have to sacrifice my dignity.
I have pre-ordered the new Pinback record, Autumn of the Seraphs. I don't know when it's due out. That's the best way to pre-order shit. Surprising myself sometime in the middle of August or September or something with a new cd in the mail.
Today's the big day for my stepfather. He goes into the hospital in half an hour and under the knife at noon.
UPDATE: The good news is my mom called and my stepdad is out of surgery and doing just fine.
the bad news is I wanted to beat off but can't find a free moment to do it in. dammit.
