Actually it was the second time, seeing as it only happened four times before gf lady got back into town, the first time was more painful than fuck for the first like 5 minutes and I cried.

but i hated the way i looked and was afraid i'd die of a sudden coronary at 55, which in my case is less than 12 years away.
the hate and fear proved to be strong motivators, and losing the first 5-8 lbs in 2 or 3 weeks was very motivating. it's like a 3 month intensive to lose 35-40 lbs.
