Have the results of one final back *AND* the final grade for the course. 4.0!!!!

Since the last update I also took another final. I think it went badloy so having a 4.0 to put next to it is nice.

One final down, one to go. I think I did well. A sample problem: There weren't any really interesting problems so I'll post one of the yawners:

What's the remainder when 2^160*2^33*(16!) is divided by 17.

II've been reading You've Got Nothing Coming I'm really enjoying it. However, there's a problem, I'm starting to use some of the slang in the book in inappropriate ways. I told my daughter to "roll it up" this morning as I was herding her out of the house this morning.

Hmmm.. Maybe I should be a little more careful. You know what I'm sayin', dawg?...

So, registration happened on March first. There was one class that I absolutely *HAD* to get to keep from getting bumped off sequence and thereby extending school an *ENTIRE* year.

Online registration opened (for me) at 6:00am. I forgot to set an alarm because the night before the missus and I celebrated out 13th wedding anniversary and we stayed up late, humped each other, and...

awfully cute that you want to do something nice for your lady...

what are you majoring in? what do you want to do with your degree?
datsun:
well, I hope you don't get fired. I respect you for getting a math degree. I always loved science, but never enjoyed math. I am more of a languages girl (English major), and I kins of always knew I'd wind up in the liberal arts.

If you want other comfort food recipes, let me know. Beef stew is also a good way to fight a cold, and it keeps well so if she doesn't feel like earing it right away, you can just chuck it in the fridge. Your pressure cooker is good for stew, but be sure to reduce the amount of moisture if you make it in that. Have you checked around our group? Lots of goos recipes posted, including a whole thread on mac&cheese. Good luck!

I promised updates, so Im going to stick to it.

So, the homework beast has gnawed my leg off and seems satiated, for the moment. I really hate my advanced multivariate calc class. Ive had all the material before so its really boring (yeah, lets do line integrals again). My mathematical reasoning class rocks, though. Lots of fun proofs to do. For example:

Prove that...

So, Im in the teeth of the great homework beast. Last weekend the wife and I had a babysitter for this first time in a long time. It was great. We went to see a play, The Complete Works of Shakespeare (Abridged) It was great and much less cerebral than it sounds. Which since I spend my days playing silly games with symbols on paper...

Okay, from now on, I promise to get something up here every few days or so. I expect that to be *VERY* difficult for me because I'm normally a pretty guarded person who doesn't share with folks unless I'm really close to them.

Anyway, school is going well so far. I'm going back for a math degree. When I tell people that, a good portion...
