I was thinking of the immortal words of Socrates who said, "I drank WHAT?!?!?!?!?"
Endlessly Fascinated
I was recently talking with my best friend Brian over email and he stated the words "endlessly fascinated". For some reason those simple words stuck in my head all day since I read his email last night. He was describing something else completely but it is such an all encompassing phrase which describes how I view most things in the world. Endlessly Fascinated...

With all the current hurricanes, tornadoes and earthquakes, do you ever wonder if they are the anti-bodies for the earth and we are the virus?
corsair:
As it relates to the planet . . . . . I'm pretty sure we're the virus!
I have experienced a bit of frustration here of late. As some of you know I have had some good luck with weight loss in the last year. I originally lost 45 lbs (From 365 to 320lbs) From September of last year to February of this year. Most of this was due to balancing my diet and increasing my workouts at the dojo. In March...

"There is a place in the parish of Errigal in Londonderry, called Slaghtaverty, but it ought to have been called Laghtaverty, the laght or sepulchral monument of the abhartach [avartagh] or dwarf (see p. 61, supra). This dwarf was a magician, and a dreadful tyrant, and after having perpetrated great cruelties on the people he was at last vanquished...

we're quoting G.I. Joe the TV show now?
I just read an awesome tidbit of information in Esquire. In an advice column, the columnist made the statement that (I am paraphrasing here) any time a person gives more attention on a regular basis to someone other than their spouse or partner, it is considered an affair of sorts. It may not be a sexual affair or the like but it is still a...

Just got one of my wisdom teeth pulled today. The good is no more broken tooth. The bad news is we found out I am partially immune to novacaine. Each tug on the tooth was like an electric shock. Broke out in a sweat with that one.
Great pain killers though.
Fire bad. Tree pretty. Sleep now.

This week I got the oportunity to study Krav Maga (For those of you who do not know it is a form of martial arts created as a survival art from guns and knives and lethal attacks) from Moshe Katz this week and it was amazing. Below is a video of his teacher on Human Weapon.

oh, the advice about weight and such I'm taking. plus, one of the females that works at my store is a body builder. as she put it, she looks more at how your weight and build is like (say, "fluffy" or large) instead of an actual number. someone might be "heavy" by the numbers, but that is because they are more muscle and less fat.
just how I view things. as for me, well, I am the heaviest I have been in my entire life. however, I consider the fact that I can still get out there and push the carts. and walk over 35,000 steps in an 8 hour shift with only a 1/2 hour break that is required by law. or work pretty much 10 hours straight (or so) without a break really. I think that's a good sign. plus, while I might be 200 lbs., I really don't look it!
ahh, the shyness, it bites.
and Judaism is a very interesting religion. in many aspects.
ahh, Krav Maga. I figure that if I ever have a daughter, that might be what I take up. or Shotokhan. something where any guy she brings home I know I can whoop his ass. and make sure he knows it. yes, i am very protective.
figure I would start when she is born (or earlier, if I have an opportunity, for no other reason than to get into shape). and buy a gun too!
'csuse I'm protective that way!
