I am currently dining on the fine cuisine known as hospital food, so you know what that means.....
I HAD MAH SURGERY!!!!! :B
So, it's 18 hours after said surgery, and I gotta say, I am a lot more sore than I expected to be, though I didn't know quite what to expect. But the papers I was sent home with to prepare for it had said the worst "discomfort" was in the first 12-14 hours. Discomfort, really? *raises eyebrow* Other websites or even YouTube videos girls were sitting there chatting after 24 hours like it ain't no big deal. So, I don't know if I'm just a big wuss, or everyone else are just champs, or what the deal is, because I'm pressing my little painkiller button like I'm playing a video game or something.
I haven't gotten a look at them (too bandaged up), but I keep being told everything is going awesome, no fever, barely anything is going into my drains, which is apparently a good thing, when the nurse has looked at my dressing or under them says everything looks good, so here's hoping to a speedy recovery and super sexy awesome results!
So, from here, I guess what I might try, if I feel up to it, is a quick zip through the mall for a good sports bra, since that's what they recommend for the first 6 weeks, and right now I have, well, nothing for the obvious reasons, and they'll have a way better selection in this city than back home.
Then, after the shortest shopping excursion ever, perhaps a bowl of soup at my favourite restaurant if I feel up to it, then I'm going back home for some more R & R. Thank the heavens that mom is hanging out at the apartment to keep my son from climbing all over me, so I can actually get the bed rest that's recommended.
Woo! So glad it's over and done with! Now I'm just excited to see the process of how they get better over time. *glee*
