Anyone seen these Hidden Valley ranch dressing ads with the little girl who says she likes it because: "It taste-ess good"?

She's so damn adorable I want to hit her with a bus.

Hey man, I'm back on here. See Journal for news. And I DO have your pilot, and I DID read it. And I DO have an ongoing TODO item in Outlook to write you about it. But it's been crazy.

You still interested in any feedback?
poopoohead:
Cool, then I will wait to see what comes when you get the re-write done.

Also, I would encourage you to look at the Firefly pilot. Whether you like the show or not, it is a pretty stunning example of striking the balance between introduction and story movement. I think it is 2 hours, but man, it got me hooked on that show!

Mariska Hargitay is engaged to be married.

That's put a damper in my five-year plan.

After grabbing some much needed gorceries, I picked up the mail. I swiped open a card from my sister and brother-in-law only to find that it was a condolence card for my roommate, whose grandfather just passed away.

Being the selfish, mail-whore that I am, I neglected to see who the envelope was actually addressed to. Now I feel doubly crap-tastic for opening my roommate's...

I saw Fiddler on the Roof with Alfred Molina tonight. I was both moved and disheartened by the performance and my inability to shout: "I know who Spider-Man is, Doc! I know!"

A foursome of French folks at the show seemed to love the shit out of me. They kept looking at me and smiling, nodding. After having checked my fly, I could only assume...

I've still yet to see Rent, and I've really wanted to see Fiddler on the Roof. Ya lucky pup!

And I am feeling better, thanks. smile

Also, they have more thank comic book classes...it's a major. It's what I'm majoring in, and it's my last quarter. wink

P.S. -- I still have your pilot, and I shall read it as soon as I fuckin' graduate. kiss

Those Frenchies were just jealous of your beard. It's a widely known fact that the French cannot grow facial hair. That's why they all have those little pencil moustaches.

Anybody know a good web designer?

I figure it's time I accept the world of on-line portfolios by finally putting one up.

Yeah, a car in the City is ridiculous! A friend of mine keeps a car in Jersey, but he never drives it. He's only living in nyc for three years, but he brought it with him, anyway.

It was kinda like highschool all over again, though, when everyone found out he had a car. There was a huge buzz and everyone wanted to see it.

you could try asking Kestrel

i'd make you one myself but seeing as how i'll be outta the country soon, i won't have the time

Thanks to all those who wished me a happy birthday. I got some neat loot. Highlights: iPod speakers, vintage camera, Wicker Man CE DVD, and a bonsai tree.

My work comes in such odd waves that it's difficult for me to work on my own projects anymore, which is one of the reasons I wanted to work from home in the first place. It's possible...

I used to be an editor at a place where my boss had literally about 2,000 DVDs. One day he put on the Wicker Man soundtrack and when I asked about it, he told me all about the movie. He let me borrow the Special DVD in the wooden box. I watched it. By the end, I was so fucking mad. All the bad guys get away with everything! I understand it's a great tale and all that, but I didn't get it. But I watched the extras and saw that there were a lot of people who did. Happy Birthday.

Oh, and check out our new group, the Filmmakers Lounge. It's private but I'll buzz you in as soon as I see the request. No need for an email since I know you and your work - and we're eventually gonna make a film together! Cheers!

My building has (what I like to call) a Smelevator. Instead of rancid muzak as you go floor hopping, you get a "flavor of the day," anything from wet dog to sweet tart urine, shoved up your nostrils.

Today's odor: Kibbles n' Bits

I think I'll take the stairs.

I hear random things about random others here and there.

Hey man! I bought me some new pens today that appear to be pretty sweet for the small price I paid. I got them at Staples and they are made by Staedtler. They are called triplus fineliner. The ones I bought are 0.3 mm and the set of 10 colors was only 7 bucks. Sweeet!Pretty cool for detail work.
I was looking for Microns but apparently they don't carry them anymore or were out.

I know what you mean about not picking up certain intended meaning in Japanese films. They to tend to be more included more subtly and in abstract form than in American and European films, which doesnt help, nor does the difference in cultural attitudes and traditions, but obviously its great if that interests you.

I'd like to see Suicide Club when it comes out here, I imdb'd it and it has some pretty harsh criticism there, but its also described as the japanese 'heathers' which would be super! But the type of filmmaking from that culture does seem to be far more cerebral than western films, so i dont expect it to be as much fun, if that description is valid.
