Yep...i was back out photographing the Swope Park Rangers again this past weekend. That was a lot of fun. We won 1-0 against the SRFC, which means that the Rangers are the only still undefeated team in USL. So it is nice to see some of my buddies doing well this season.

Here are some of the photos from Saturday's game.

So, today has enabled me to take two more solid photos the Living With Sam portfolio. I am working my way back up to 60 images for publication purposes. It will be hard since I am currently sitting at like 30...so I need to work HARD over the next like 18 weeks to get those photos done. We will see what happens though. I just...

So, since I have been trying to get some more photos done for the MFA portfolio, I have had to pick my camera back up and really focus on what would be strong images for the exhibition. Here are some of the most current ones, out side of the image that I took of Sam and Alice two days ago.

That is all that I

Yeah...last night, Sam and I had a little fun, pulling out the studio equipment for a while, and working with that and our beloved Snowqueen, the guinea pig. It was Snowqueen's first, real photo shoot, and for a guinea pig that is almost five...that it has been a long time coming. I am just happy that we got her in one prior to her passing

This past Saturday, the 25th, was a VERY interesting day for me, and not very fun. For starters. I ended up falling off the bed and cracking my knee open by landing right on it. Fucking hurt like hell. Still does to a bit. But that was not the worst part about Saturday. So the kids came over, and Zoe was fundraising for her middle...

Yep, today's the day, his birthday. Very very very very excited day. One thing that he was looking for was tickets to go see Green Day when they came through Kansas City. Green Day is his favorite band, period, no questions asked. Grandma already said that she wasn't going to give him those, his mom wouldn't do it, so it all came down to Sam...

Just like my oldest, Ishan, he has a huge fro and refuses to get a haircut! Speaking of, mine will be 15 years old in a smidge over a month. Do you feel old like I feel old? Lol
fastboyent:
@amberetta I honestly try not to think about it, feeling old.  lol. I think one thing that I have to constantly remind myself is that Josh came when I was young.  I was a teen parent, had not even graduated High School yet to be honest. So when his 16th birthday rolled around, I had to remind myself that I am only 34 years old, yes, I said ONLY there...shut it.  But I think that another thing that kept me feeling younger than I am is the fact that I went back to college, so when I was in my late 20s and even 30-31, I was back in college, taking classes with people 18-23 years old, so that helped me stay in the "youthful" feel.  ALSO, as I am now in Graduate school, I am honestly like one of the younger people in my classes, or everyone is in my age range.  SO, that makes me feel that much better...lol.

So, I was thinking earlier today about some of the people that I have been able to photograph over my years as a photographer, and one photograph that has come back to my mind is the quick portrait that I was able to take of funk legend George Clinton from 2015 when he stopped in my home city of Lawrence, KS for the Free State...

Holy crap...Has it really been 10 days since I posted anything on here...and a week and a half since the International Women 's Strike Day?

Well shit, I guess I should post something huh? Well, I went to two different soccer games today. I photographed the last preseason game of the Swope Park Rangers and then went and watched their 1 st team, Sporting Kansas...

It was fun, informative, got to met a few new people, see some friends, and take...

@fastboyent Nooooo! What is wrong with people? I left Larryville in ~2004 for the last time. That scourge will have to be put in its place (of history) but it seems as if we as a country are revisiting much of what I had thought had died out long ago. Those people have been emboldened and will experience only what I hope is a "last flop" before becoming culturally extinct. Do you remember the last few minutes of Faith No More's video for "Epic"? Like that. Very sad to hear. Hold it down, we shall overcome!
fastboyent:
@milesoakley HA! Yes, I remember the video to Epic.  What an amazing reference here.  Thanks for that trip down memory lane.  That was awesome.  But yes, I agree with you, what is wrong with people today? I know two different friends of mine who have been confronted by White Nationalists at the Replay, one is a girl who was confronted in the women's restroom and the other is a door guy for the bar; the white nationalists were a women (for the restroom) and a male for the door.  It is crazy.  HOWEVER, if it is any feeling of relief, the White Nationalist guy is an HUGE K-State fan (always wears a Purple K-State Hoodie), and not a Jayhawker.  Not so sure about the girl though.
