i got the job!
but.. i'm not as excited as i thought i would be.
yeah.. i got it.. great. BUT.. i was planning on working a dinner shift.. because he knew i was working mornings presently.. he knew i wanted to stay at whole foods.. and he lead me to believe that by telling me that i "would probably be working the dinner line" with him. So yeah... he thinks i would work out better in the mornings because i am well rounded. I can receive product and all that jazz and he said i'll be able to get creative with the food and such. (aka prep) I don't really want to be a prep cook.. i wanted to be a line cook... in the evenings so i could just cut back my hours instead of changing EVERYTHING up. Nothing is set in stone yet.. and i hope things change.
another bad thing is that he wants me to work from 8-4... which if i stayed at WF my evening shift will start at 2 or 3. hmm... i need to do some finangleing (i know i spelled that wrong) and i don think mario (my boss at wf) is going to like it very much.
dont get me wrong.. i am fucking excited about this... it's going to be awesome.. its just not what i was expecting due to the reasons stated above.
i guess there is a training on the 23rd.. which i will be out of town for... so i'll probably have to do it earlier because the regular training starts on the 27th.. the day after i get home from omaha.
i wish whole foods wasnt so hard to leave.
damn them and their good pay/benefits.
i am happy... just anxious i guess. or apprehensive... whatever.
